Just curious about how this works.  I read in one of Blitz's post-op posts, he said that his doc wanted to wait on giving the injection b/c of the possiblity of it causing concaveness.

I thought that the injections break-up scar tissue only.  Is this not the case?  Can someone explain this to me?

Thanks

The steroid injections cause tissue atrophy. All tissue (fat, skin, scar tissue) can start to atrophy if too much steroid is given.

Steroids also interfere with the natural healing process.

Oh, so basically the injections can break up tisue other than scar tissue?

So this could actually help with small amounts of gland?

I just got home from the blood bank where I was turned away because of recent use of anti inlamatory drugs for arthritis (I'm an old man).

With respect to use of steroids or other anti inflamitory drugs, you must trust your Doctor.  Free advice is usually worth what you pay for it.

Yeah, I do plan on talking with the ol' doc about this (he brought it up once before).

Just wanted to see what other people's experience with this is.
