I have to wonder why there are only three surgeons mentioned on this site - it is a rare condition however my sceptical nature leads me to believe this site is some type of marketing tool?

you know, at times I am wondering that as well.  However,  if you read through the posts you will find loads of docs. being mentioned and cretiqued.  There is a welth of info on this site so if it was a marketing tool, it would at the very least be a usefull and informative one.  As for gynecomastia being a rare condition, I would advise you to research those numbers, I have generally found most sources quote 40-60% of the male population as having some form of gyne.  Hope this helps..

I think that 90% is high as well but I wouldent be surprised to find that that figure is somehow out dated.  I would like to see the figures of the rise in gyne compaired to the rise of drug abuse, and horomones being put into just about everything we consume today.
I was watching a television show on Discovery Health about sexual health and they were discussing how we as males are generaly De-evolving.  While females are still going strong.  Makes you wonder why.  Could it also be because we have a much greater relationship with healthcare and doctors, so more and more cases are being reported?

I am an old grandpa who has had the condition for over 55 years and learned to live with it.  If I can lend a voice of reason to help anyone through the torment I experienced as a youth, my time is well spent.

My personal opinion is that education is more important than surgery when it comes to dealing with Gynecomastia.
