We will all come round to yours then Geg for some cortisone shots!!

Just curious as a uk doctor whats your opinion on propeica? I took a herbal significant to this and thats what brought about my gyno.

Btw do we know for sure when we can start massaging to break down the scar tisue? I would like to start as soon as is safe to do so

stonecold i was told that i can start massaging very lightly after 1 week if i dont feel any pain.  but ive decided to wait as 1 of my cuts, has not healed up properly, and i dotn want to tear it by massaging it.

i say wait untill the 2 week mark, then start of really lightly massaging with coco butter with vit E.   u get the stuff from boots.
as each week goes past build up the intensity of the massage.

ive also bought myself a massage roller for £10  of play.com.   its like a ball that u rub over the area, says it helps relives, knots and muscular probs.   basically it saves u using yr fingers,  which cant hurt after a while of massaging

I started to massage today when i got out the bath as my skin was nice and supple, i lightly massages the skin by using two fingers and when i coverd both sides (about 10 mins), i felt around for any knots in the skin (hard lumps) and concentrated on these, using my middle finger i gently massaged them for about 20 seconds per lump and then it was back on with my vest, it didnt cause any pain or discomfort,  if you isolate the hard lumps and give them additional light massaging
I think this will aid in breaking down accumulated scar tissue.

1 maybe 2 times a day, at least once when i have a bath for 20 mins, second time just before i go to bed to have a quick look and rub some moisturiser on my patches were the bandages took the skin off, this normaly takes around 10 mins.

ok thanks and how about sleeping on the front, anyone done that? I havent really had a great nights sleep since my op as i have stayed on my back the whole time when in bed, and usually i have a tendancy to sleep on my side or front.

I have got my pictures up now in the pics thread, the link is below. As i said i was 100% happy when i had my bandages removed, but whilst i think its a nice improvement currently, im not sure if i have a bit of swelling and scar tissue or if Mr Levick was a bit conservative. I would have liked more out and a flatter look. The look i had immediately upon removing the dressing was perfect. These are 11 days post op.

just checked your post op pics and you look good m8, but i think you should have got levick to take a look at that nasty scarf thats attached itself to your face..  it must be terribly embarrassing when your out on the pull lol :D :D ;)

Get back in the gym m8 when your sorted, and get back in to shape as i intend doing ;)

good luck ;)
