Thanks Chest. I cant wait to get back into the gym, i really cant. My diet has gone wrong. So im going to start getting it all back on track. My movement is feeling so much better now. But i know its to early to hit the weights yet. When is anybody going to do some cv?

Regarding the scarf attached to my face -  well i tried to convince Dr Levick to remove it, but he had 7 ops to get through that day and just didnt have the time  ;D

i have more or less getting much better movement in my arms.i can feel a good stretch tho when i do strech my arms.not pain tho.feels as tho my scars internally is getting bigger?
swelling is going down.
i have been eating vitamin e capsules in a effort to minimise the scarring internally as it is showing thru if i am standing under the light and making creases and indentations in my chest (not my nipple).
spoke to gail to tell i was ok and i woul ring later closer to jan to book a post op consultation with mr levick.
im sure these scars will be hypertrophic like all the other scars on my body but i hopefully vitamin e will soften it up a bit .
im also looking to get some of these

serrapeptidase to decrease the scar tissue as well.

ill get some vit e tommorow then, i have a large amount of scar tissue on one side of my chest that runs quite a bit in length. Hopefully with massaging that will help.

It could still be possible, as we are in to the massgage phase you dont want to accidently give it a little to much and cause a bleed!.

My massaging is going fantastic, i have reduced my scar tissue by about 30-40 % :o maybe more!. i have full range of movement back in both arms, were as i had 70% movement in my right arm 5days ago and about 50% in my left arm, because i have scar tissue down both sides of my pecs and when i tried to lift my arms up it pulls realy tight as if i have an extra tendon wich used to show through the skin and looked horrible, but nows its almost gone apart form a couple of intermitant lumps.

Massaging

What i do now is get a small towel and fold it  up so its about 6-7 inch square and soak it in very cold water, then press it on my pec were  the scar tissue lies!, i do this about 3-4 times to make sure the skin is realy cold and then i slap on some arnica cream and begin to massage softly and work up until your massaging quite firmly, i can grab the bead of scar tissue between my fingers and work it quite well, i hold my arm straight up and slide my fingers up and down the scar tissue and apply firm pressure, i even grab the bead of scar tissue and get my fingers behind it and massage it here to further break down the scar tissue, after 15 mins per side i get the same towel and soak it in hot water and then i apply this to my chest a couple of times to get the blood back to the skin.

I cool my skin down for a couple of reasons but the main reason is to numb the area and it allows for more comfortable massaging, then i apply a hot towel to bring blood back in to the area to flush away the toxins that have been released through massaging, use heat for about 2 mins a side, this should warm the skin up enough.

Give it ago let me know how you get on ;)

Well i use arnica cream now to help with bruising and it provides a good lubrication for massaging aswell, but i was using "johnsons baby lotion" to start with and this worked great, i started to massage about 9-10 days after surgery, im not saying everybody can start the same time as some may have suffered more trauma and need further time to heal!, but i suppose its down to how you feel personaly.

Sounds good but isnt the 15 per side totalling 30 minutes abit to long to have your vest off for?

No m8 not realy....10 minuites wont make a difference, if it takes 15 minuites to do each side properly then thats the time it takes. ;)

How long are you meant to keep the vests on for? Did you buy your own?
