  • Why Meeee!!
mine is on my left side chest, u can only see it when some1 looks at my chest from a angle on the side.
the indent is at a 45degrees angle.  when i first had surgery i tried to open the loft, i think me streching that side of my arm is what caused the indent on that side.  it kind of teared my skin so to speak.

geg did yr indent naturally appear??  or do u think umight have did some kind of movement which caused it.

July 04 - Gland removal + liposuction- Adriaan Grobbelaar. Results: Terrible

no it looks like thats wer the bandages have been placed causing maybe a seroma buildup of fluid and thereby causing more scar to be formed there and actually protruding thru the skin making it look like a indentation.i have it on the right but it isnt noticeable

Ive got a funny indent type thing, it runs from under my armpit  accross to my nipple, sort of like a line/channel, you can only see it when i stand sideways on and pull my right shoulder back as far as it will go, you cannot see it when im relaxed tho. It looks like its the path levick took to remove the lump, he either took fat away or its were the scar tissue pulls tight, id go for the scar tissue theory tho.

If I'm understanding you correctly it is definitely scar tissue resulting from the path that Levick took with the canula. I had it on both sides and it's only recently that it has started to disappear......

yeah and I had that too - disappeared by 3 months though. Don't think this is ever a long term residual problem....

chestrockwell, i did try massaging after a couple of months, but found it always made my chest swell up - v. disheartening so stopped.
The best thing i found to do was SWIM. It makes hella difference to my chest, 'tho i've started to get neck-ache from it so i'll have to ease off.

  • Previously stonecold... 9.11.05 Surgery Levick
3 week update:

Looking forward to only having to wear the vest full time for another week.

So far not sure things have really changed much at all. As i said before i was really thrilled when i took the bandages off but the left side now looks more full than the right hand side. Im also still concerned that not enough was removed. When i have my shirt off i think that my chest looks pretty good, but when trying old tops on without the vest, i still think i have obvious man lumps.

The positive is that my nipples have been so much better and havent been puffy since the op, so im hoping that remains, as thats one of the worst aspects of gyne in my opinion.

I think the real test will be when i no longer have to wear the vest.

Whats everybody else feeling like? Oh the scar tissue doesnt seem to be changing either despite 10 mins massage per day.

stonecold bro im same as you
left seems more fuller and less scar and looks better.
tshirts wearing still makes look crap but wityh it off looks ok.
still got indentation when i tense my chest but looks ok when relax except faint lines.
scar tissue no change
im not wearing vest all the time-just to sleep and work to 6 pm then off till bout 10 pm den go to sleep with it on.
but we are only 3 weeks.
to tell you the truth im sure we will only start seeing results 1 yr post op.but main change after 6 months.
ether way it looks better than before but only bout 50 %. not 3700 pounds worth yet.but im pateint and im sure it can only get better so im not worried.
best thing for you to do like my dad said forget all bout it for 6 months.stop looking at your chest in mirror all day long when you got a chance, feeling for lumps etc.

ok coming up to 3-4 weeks post op.
showed my chest to my dad.he said that the indentation is occuring cos looks like levick has taken out too much fat on my right hand side which wasnt as bad as my left hand side.the way it feels though is like the skin has no fat underneath at all and just is sticking to muscle.
im really disappointed with this and if there is no change will be bringing it up when i speak to levick.
worse thing is my right hand side wasnt that bad.and i had no problem with my chest in this area i had no fat in that area just around my areola area (lower chest) not half way up my chest (about 2 inches above the nipples)

im gona take some pics to see what you guys think.
