Please Help

I have recently had gynecomastia surgery will bilateral gland removal with some Lypo recovering well so far or well I thought.

Surgery Date 30.07.2020
Main bandages following surgery were kept on for 3 days and then only compression vest for 2 weeks but I have left it on until this issue is resolved. Some mild scare tissue but constant massaging is being done for this.

When I am relaxed over my left peck there seems to be a scar showing, when I lift my shoulder slightly it fades out. My surgeon said it would subside but its been almost a week now I thought it might have been a dent from the vest but there is no change and only on one side. I have another appointment with him mid-September

Just wanted to ask has anyone seen this before? If so did it resolve its self with diet and exercise and massage, or would revision surgery or kenalog injections be required?

Kyle,
It is very early to evaluate the outcome.  The appearance will certainly change and improve. The vest can make temporary indentation which will resolve. Lifting the arms will certainly be very tight and deformities seen until the scar tissue begins to mature, like 8 weeks.  Listen to your surgeon, he has done a good job.  Good luck and seen photos later.

Can I ask you one question I have another follow up appointment with my Surgeon which would be around 7 weeks Post OP. I was wondering is there a time frame before you can have steroid shots to help break tissue up? Or do I have to wait a certain time before asking for these?

It is certainly too early to draw final conclusions. The shape of the indentation however suggests that you might have had some over correction. Continued massage might help. Continue to follow your surgeon's instructions. Good luck.

Would strongly advise you to be patient and allow everything to heal.  This will take minimum 4-6 months.  You should consult with your surgeon as need -- perhaps to garner some reassurance.

Revision surgery is always playing catch-up, and in your case is probably unnecessary.  Keep your chin up and be patient.
