I've asked this question before but not answered to my satisfaction. Have any of you ever had a doctor recommend guys with acute gynecomastia wear a bra? I've read it's not recommended. Thanx

Several members here have posted that their doctor(s) recommended or suggested wearing a bra.
Including mine.  For obvious reasons.

My doctor said if wearing a bra brought comfort then I should wear a bra. She said that's the advice she gives her female patients. She admitted she preferred to wear a bra

I scheduled a visit my doctor because my breast were sore, especially the nipples.  He referred me to a specialist who ordered a mammogram and it showed Gynecomastia.  More in the left breast than right.  He said at my age, his recommendation was to live with them.  His Physician Assistant was a lady who then came in and recommended that I begin wearing a bra to reduce the jiggle when running and keep the nipples from rubbing on my t-shirt.

I got a jog bra and that works fine while exercising.  it also help hide the breasts when in public.  I eventually added several regular bras, because the jog bras are too binding to wear all day.  My wife understands my issue and her only complaint is that mine are bigger than hers.  Mine grew rapidly several years ago and have since settled down.  The specialist believed that steroids for a knee condition may have triggered the development of the breasts.

Congratulations on finding a solution that works for you. I have found that breasts are not a death sentence and half of the human race do just fine with them.
