I know the ultimate answer to this is going to be "wait until 6 months" but I really just want to get an idea whether this is swelling or residual tissues. It does not seem to have changed much at all in the 6 weeks since surgery. I had about 10 grams of gland removed from each and a small amount of lipo.

My right side is pretty much perfect, but the left side is about 20% larger.

Just for my peace of mind, is there a way to determine if this is actually swelling?

Adding a top down image of the left site that I missed.

If one side became larger shortly after surgery it is possible that you have/ad a hematoma or seroma develop. If identified early it can be aspirated. If not it can sometimes cause some thick scar tissue that an take a long time to go away, if at all. You should return to your surgeon for an exam and further advise. Good luck.
