Turmeric (Curcumin) and Gynecomastia

Hello all,

I heard that Turmeric can be helful to fight gynecomastia. But how much does it help and in what way?

Yours is one of many postings that ask about the roll of various herbs and spices and their effect upon Gynecomastia;  either as a cause or cure.  

Many more ask about the contibution of such things as soy or dairy products.

I am of the belief that in a varied diet, none of these things is capable of causing or reducing Gynecomastia to any significant degree.  Likewise,  I seriously question the validity of any claim that any herbal products has any more than placebo effect on the reduction of gynecomastia.

The evidence that such products work is always anecdotal,  and supplied by people who are in the business of marketing the products.  The labeling on such products almost always contain the caveat that these claims have not been evaluated by the FDA.

In short:  Let the Buyer beware!
