Problem with stitches!

Today my right hand under arm stiches started hurting a bit, took ym top of when got home and theirs a bit of blood. Im 3 weeks post op now so what do i need to do? Theyve ben fine till now?

I am suprised that you still have stiches @ 3 weeks, most people have them out around 7-10 days post op.

sorry i should have said from the wound. I had dissolvable sticthes but the wound is bleeding a bit now.

My PS recomended a dab of antibacterial cream and cover with tape.

He felt that the 3M Micropore medical tape helped give support to the wound and had the biggest impact on minimizing scars.

This is good for a couple of days, shower doesnt bother it.

same problems with stitches.  Had to go to my gp and he's given me a course of antibiotics.  If you are worried about infection then do see your doctor, mine was really cool about it.

problem is docs are always giving out anti biotics for any old reason,which isnt right but will cover them for litigation.i dought you will need it as long as it isnt a very deep open wound,it has no pus,its clean and had no dirt in it.
take it from me i leave huge gaping incision in the mouth which isnt the cleanest of places and everythings fine after a week.
