My wife is not into buying expensive bras - she just wears mine
My wife tried to wear mine, but she pick a new one and I dropped from a 42c to a 40c and the band is too tight for her. We both use to be 42c but shaped different.  Her more up front and mine are wideset.
I have a long way to go to catch up with my wife. She was always quite endowed. Where she is now in size I don't know. She has been gone for years now.

For a little while in our relationship, my wife and I would share our bras. After my thyroidectomy though, I went up 3 cup sizes in a year. Around the same time, she lost about 75 lbs. It was quite expensive. We were both wearing 38D or DD. It was pretty convenient. It was a super common size.

Anyway she's a 34E and I'm in a 36H (both UK sizing because we both prefer UK bras for our fit). They aren't cheap but they are very good quality and they are pretty, too.

Speaking of bra pricing. There are a couple of my girlfriends that refer to their bra and the "boob tax". It's a "tax" that they feel that they pay for being a woman. I understand how they feel. I usually spend between $100 - $150 for a bra. When I look in my dresser with about 12-15 bras in it, that definitely adds up.

I will say that I am more than happy to pay this "tax". I am also happy to have such beautiful, accepting friends who have accepted me, each other and most importantly, ❤️ themselves 🤗♥️😘😍

"Boob tax", I love it! 😍
I will have to remember that one. I have paid quite my share in "boob tax", and am happy to do so. I'll be making a tax payment this weekend 🤔.

Of course you are accepted girlfriend 💖. And accepting myself was one of the most challenging parts.
But I was up for the challenge 💖💃💖.

I went bra shopping yesterday at a boutique that sold $150+ bras and for a joke asked to try a $175 bra to see what, if any difference there was in a bra that expensive. To my amazement there was a big difference in fit and comfort and to a lesser extent support and containment. While I wouldn't mind owning a bra like that, that is WAY more money than I want to spend. I passed on that bra but did buy two others in my usual $75 to $100 price range that worked for me quite well. I joked with the fitter that I couldn't think of a single thing I would wear it with! She laughed and said she could think of several things she could!

Biggest thing I saw in the difference is the material used. She showed me a $250 bra that was made from shear chantilly lace and it is the cost of the raw materials that drives up the price. It was a beautiful bra, very delicate and feminine but actually somewhat impractical. I understand you get what you pay for, been there, done that. And there is A LOT of R&D that goes into designing bras that factor into the cost, but after a point, it's just how many bobbles can you put on a bra to drive up the price.

I remember when I made the jump from $35. to $70 - 80.  comfort and quality was much better.  I sure think those in the $100. 150. range look amazing.  I may have to try one for comfort as well.  If I had a couple it wouldn't be so bad.  Just for those times I want something nice. Life's all about choices.  Where one chooses to spend the extra and for what.  It all goes somewhere.

I try to stay around $50 for my bras. I have thought that I need at least a couple for special occasions :o, something really sexy and of course spendy. ::)
You just never know what occasion might come up? 💖💃💖

I've been stalking Amazon to be around when they have a special sale on Elomi Charley Lace Plunge bras. I grab them when they are under $40. That is the only bra style that works for my girls, who need side support at 36D. :D

50DD is a popular size and sells fast. Nothing in-store and limited online. 🙄

Birdie,  I love the dress by the entrance,  on the right. The multi color with spaghetti straps! But it would never look good on me because of my shoulders. Hope you're having fun.
Oh my yes! I just love it 💖

Not much in my size today, but I have some ideas now 🤔
They have some 'conservative' blouses that I think I'll be able to wear to the center in-stock. 😉

They will help me order online 💖

The purple one in the same window looks doable as well. It's kind of elegant and might be nice for a 'date night'? 💖

Date night do tell. Glad the trip was fruitful.  I was up around 3am to pee and while sitting and shopping on Amazon,  I bought a new bra. Something thinner for summer heat. Almost bought a nightgown,  but I saved it for later. But this morning my wife saw it in save for later and bought it for me.  I do have a great wife!

'Eventful date nights' won't be 'talked' about much 😳.
At least not on the open forum. 🤣

I've actually really considered making my own bras so they could be a custom fit and I figure minus my time I would be money ahead. I do a lot of sewing as I do 1810-20s reenactment and make all my own clothes for reenacting. I thought about making a lightweight canvas corset/bra deal to wear at the next gathering this fall. Corsets weren't common to see on men in that time frame, but it wasn't unheard of. I have a feeling last falls gathering would be my last going there without support as I'm in pain by the end of the day. I also wouldn't mind an included corset to help slim me up a touch....

Here is a bra pattern to make your own. Just select your size, then download.
They don't have one for my size but I can simply edit the pattern myself. I might have a project for next weekend. 😍
