So I just ordered a compression top /sports bra looking thing from tomboyx.com.  has anyone had one and what are your thoughts. From what I read women who are trans use them to hide their breasts.  I actually purchased it for 2 reasons.  I have multiple sclerosis which one of the more pleasant symptoms is nerve pain mine happens to be centered around my left breast and rib. Which is the side with the gynecomastia . Besides my meds dr suggested trying tight clothing I've been using shaper camisoles with good results but they are very hot in this summer heat.  Hopefully this can solve the heat issue along with the boob, nerve problem I'll update once it arrives .

I used to be in "boy-mode" and concealment. I bought the TomboyX compression tops and tried them.
They did an incredible job at "hiding my assets", and were fairly comfortable for several hours but not all day.
I'm at the day-centre for about 8hrs everyday, and it was too much. I started breaking out in blistering heat rashes and severe discomfort from the garment.

Mine went to the charity bin after sitting in my closet for about a year.

Of course I don't conceal my breasts at all anymore! 💃

Conclusion: they worked great, but not for all-day use.
When life gives you curves,
flaunt them! 💃

Began,

I hope that the Tomboy X top works well for you. Just be cautious about how often and how long you wear it for. We had some transgender men who have had issues with their breasts due to excessive binding.

I know that there is a very broad spectrum of acceptance amongst the members here about how we deal with having breasts. Some of us have chosen to wear a bra. A bra is probably the most popular way to manage your breasts. Its what half of the world uses. It still doesn't mean that it's for everyone. I think that everyone in the "Acceptance " forum has elected to keep their girls for as many reasons as there are members.

I think that the Tomboy X binding top can be safe as long as you also take the opportunity to let your breasts be in a more comfortable place with a for most of your day to day activities. A high activity sports bra may be a better option to avoid damaging your delicate breast tissue. As most trans men who start binding, eventually end up having their breasts surgically removed.

Here is an encapsulated sports bra option available at Torrid.

It's not going to conceal like the TomboyX compression tops, but would be a better option whilst going about daily activities.

This is the top I ordered.  I got it for the length.  My m.s. causes pain that is helped by tight clothing like the shaper camisoles I have.  They just get a bit hot when walking so I figured I try this.  Worse case scenario I'll wear this while walking and put my cami back on after. Thanks for looking out birdie and Sophie

Yes, I had 2 of those.

I have rather large breasts DD/DDD depending on bras.
The top was very discomforting if worn too long in my case.
The double fabric is also hot and doesn't breathe well, so I broke out in blistering heat rashes.

My doctor was the one that told me to stop wearing them, and the occupational therapist wasn't happy because they were her suggestion.

Regular bras was where I migrated to after that.

Short periods of time, like out shopping they should work great. The amount of compression and concealment was incredible.

Didn't do nothing for me.  I might have ordered wrong but it wasn't tight at all and if I  raised my arms it bunched up. I am returning it and sticking with my shapermint camisoles for now

Sounds like it was ordered too big.
