It appears more than not the typical experience here is idiopathic. It’s frustrating and confusing how something such as a man growing boobs can’t be identified by someone who’s been in school for 10 years then practicing medicine for longer can’t identify it. Or mitigate or correct it.

Ive been given shrugs and reasons and nothing seemed to correct it. I eventually just quit caring. With crappy insurance and costs per visit and panel work up showing same as the last or similar enough I just felt defeated and felt it was impairing our finances more than repairing my hormones.

I’d rather accept the fact my body just is sensitive as heck to things and long as I’m healthy overall I’ll just let what will be, be.

Dude,
That's correct. I couldn't agree more.

I'm not a young man yet feel great.  I haven't gone down that rabbit hole to try and figure out the why.  JJ and Dude, your comments here is kinda the reason I haven't.  I have learned here and other readings done to know what true gynecomastia looks and feels like.  I do give myself breast exams and just feel the tissue there.  And I feel they are dense.

I enjoy the comfort of a nice bra and enjoy taking it off.  Having breast is of little concern to me.  It's alright.  I will take care of blood pressure, heart etc.  I have annual shin checks for skin cancer and my Dr. has to see the growth yet, has said nothing.

I'll just continue to be.

I get a wellness check every year being on Medicare. My GP retired and had to see my new doctor for my checkup. My records show I have Gynecomastia and that I have had a mammogram.
So I opened my shirt so he could exam me. He said WOW THEY ARE BIG, NOT D CUPS BUT BIG!
That really surprised me. He must not have seen a man with boobs before, which also surprises me. Anyway he was very professional about it of course and gave me a breast exam and told me what to look for as far as lumps and nipple soreness and discharge. He’s young so I’m sure he will one into others like me in the future. My doctor that retired told me the reason I grew boobs is because of my hormonal imbalance and just bad luck…haha

Dude,
You mentioned it an earlier comment about empty space behind the nipples.
I have been experiencing this. I describe it more as a donut hole behind the center of my nipples.
Not sure what I can expect with this down the road? But you said yours filled in with firm tissue. Did your nipples end up projecting more from that?

I as well have spent $$$ on testing diagnose to find the cause or problem behind my gyno with no avail.
Better spent on more bras!
If the bra fits, wear it.

Hey Gyno yes. The space below my areola used to be quite empty feeling and air like. The disc of tissue around it was felt but nothing under it. Recently I noticed that was no longer the case. The tail in my armpit has become thicker and more intrusive to my underarms. And behind areola has become failed full of a dense mass. That has all but filled the empty space.

According to Google this is basically a sub something mass that basically is the second mound forming on the existing tissue. From what I gathered it’s grown where it can up down and around. And is now setting its stage to grow outward in a more projected direction. Unsure if it will or not we shall see I suppose. My nipples are projecting more than last month or month before that I recall. They are thicker and show more and my shirts for sure have less room and tent more than before.

I think my last measurements were 35.5 under and 39.5 or 40 over? It’s somewhere on here when I tried to keep track of things. I’m now 35.5 under and 41.25 over. It’s been months since I’ve measured but I feel they have filled in and out more since last.
