Miss Mary of Sweden?

Has anyone any experience or advice about Miss Mary bras?  They are an iconic Swedish brand with an extensive range of bras. Their website is very informative about their bra designs and  specs,  including support levels and cup shape. They look like serious garments and they aren't cheap but maybe  worth the money..

Beautiful bras. Never heard of them. Look very well designed. But I’d rather spend 70 bucks at Home Depot lol

$70 is the average I pay for my bras. Just last week I spent $168 for two bras. At my size, you get what you pay for. I have never heard of them. But they do look like very nice bras and well made. I like they have a large side support collection. A must for me.

I think I would much rather spend $70 on bras than drills and hammers. But that is just me..

Miss Mary are quite well known in Europe.  Along with Triumph, Playtex, and Berlei these are the brands I remember from my childhood.  Never expected as a kid that one day I would fit and wear them!  And I  don't mind at all.

What an interesting observation.  Growing up, we saw our mothers sisters and aunts in bras. And now we need to wear a bra every bit as much as they did. And we probably like and know more about bras than they ever did.

I agree Busty. As a child I remember my mother would never consider going braless and without a layering piece over it. Usually a slip if a dress or half slip if wearing a pullover or button down top with shorts or pants over her bras for a clean look. She thought it was the sign of poor appearance not to. Playtex was a favorite of hers and she had some special occasion and special outfit bras that I never knew the names of that she would wear. I don't remember her ever wearing an underwire bra. And maybe that's one reason I take how I wear my bras so seriously and to be sure that the fit is correct and things look right with such a feminine bent. My mother taught me without either one of us realizing it.

The same with my mother. Always in bra and firm open bottom girdle with garters and stockings during my younger years. At about 1975 she switched to pantyhose and firm pantie girdles, much later as other women. She had a weak connective tissue and needed the support for her abdomen. I've inherited this, as I have the venous problems. After a heart attack with a subsequent deep vein thromboses in 1988 she had to wear medical compresssion pantyhose. Since her brother also had severe leg problems for decades I got attentive and went to a vein specialist who prescribed me compression stockings and shortly after pantyhose too.

My mother was still alive for 9 years to watch me wearing pantyhose (compression during the week, support hosiery on the weekends). Regarding her family history, for her it was not a big deal.

Bras and girdles for me came later.

I have recently upgraded from compression stockings to compression pantyhose, and I am amazed by the additional support it gives to the abdomen. I'll never go back to compression stockings.

Hmm, I don't have any Spanx yet but today I am wearing Torrid pull-on pocket Pixie trousers. They have "slim fix technology" with a front smoothing panel that holds and supports.
