I was about 11-12 years old.  I had very clear and pronounced breast development that could have used support.  I tried my older sister’s bra and it fit perfect.  And no, I didn’t know the cup size.

After developing breasts at age 13, I tried on one of my sister's bras out of curiosity if I actually did fit bra given all the continuous comments at school that I should wear one.

They were right, and I was amazed at how well I fit a bra and how good I looked wearing one. At that point I had to accept that I did have boobs just like the girls in my class.

I also realized I was more comfortable physically and mentally wearing a bra.
If the bra fits, wear it.

While I started developing at 11/12 I don’t remember trying on my mom’s halter top until 13/14ish. By then I could pass the pencil test, so large B or small C? Can’t say for sure, but it was obvious at that time I could have used a real bra.

I was about 12ish, and my cousin gave me a complete outfit to try on including the bra and panties. Everything was a perfect fit including the bra. By graduation I was about a C cup. I remember my waist was 29" and my hips 34" so I was making my own clothes (men's trousers didn't fit). Most of my shape was in the chest and hips.

I occasionally tried a bras on in my teens and twenties but I  didn't have breasts to fill the cups.  I have only recently started wearing a bra full time after a professional fitting and finding that I  now fit a wide  range of mainstream bras. Wearing a bra is enormously beneficial to me in many ways and I  love it. ❤️

At 62, after retirement, when I was diagnosed with gyne.  The surgeon, and friend, didn't recommend surgery.  His PA recommended a support garment, aka bra.  I have worn several variations since.

I began wearing one I believe at 35/36 when my gynecomastia began to get more mobile in movements. Not terrible but annoying during running and hiking especially when hunched over going up hills or stairs. Began wearing one regularly last year at 38, when my chest was too sore some days and realizing support was needed more than an option
