I’m new here and I have been wearing a bra for 2 months months now. I have read many posts about how some of you wear panties with your bras. I see many of you commenting about how much more comfortable they are.

I was at Lane Bryant last weekend with my wife browsing. I bought a new bra and the panties caught my eye. I browsed through them but I didn’t get any.

My wife made the comment that I would look much better with panties that match my bras rather than my men’s briefs. She offered to let me try a pair of her panties to see how I like them before I buy any.

The next day when I was getting dressed I went in her top drawer and found a pair of bikini panties that matched the bra I was wearing. Oh my gosh they felt amazing. Silky smooth and stretchy. They did look a million times better with my bra than my white briefs. I was also impressed that they covered everything down there which was a concern I had.

Anyway, I wore them the whole day and my wife had no idea until I was getting ready for bed. She said, “Are those my panties?!” I said yes and reminded her she said I could try them. She asked me if I wore them all day and I said yes. She asked me how I felt and I said they were way more comfortable than mine and I really liked them.

She told me that I could have them. I snuck another pair the next day. She said I could have those too.

We are going shopping this weekend for panties for me.

I asked my wife how she feels about me wearing a bra and now panties. She said she felt awkward at first but she knew the doctor recommended it. Then she started to realize that on the outside I am a man but under my clothes I’m a girl.
She said some of it might be me exploring and learning who I am. She said it’s like I am a twelve year old girl who just got her first bra. She said when she got her first bra she was bra shopping all the time too and she changed her panties to more grown up styles. She said she understands it. She said I’m exploring becoming a woman just like any other tween girl and she wants me to explore and embrace becoming who I am.

I don’t know where I will end up but I am glad my wife is supportive.

I am pleased that panties work for you. Unfortunately they don't work for my anatomy, I  find that the gusset between the legs is not wide enough and my bits slip out of the edges and get trapped.  It's not a nice feeling.   I would love to find panties that match my bras but no success so far.  A panty girdle might work but they are hard to find these days and might be too compressive.

I am glad your wife is accepting, understanding and supportive.

We need to wear bras like women do because we have breasts like women. Male underwear look silly with bras. Panties are soft, silky, and smooth, so why not wear them? So generous of your wife to share her panties with you and then to take you shopping for panties of your own

Although I started wearing panties years before I started wearing bras, I guess for fetish purposes, they have become a more practical solution for me compared to men's underwear now. Last week I wrote in the Things I Never Thought thread about how panties hold incontinence liners or pads far better than men's undies, for me anyway. I normally wear women's boyleg shorties which are stretchy and by design have a wide gusset. They are also unisex looking enough, particularly in black, to get away with if you have to drop your pants in front of a doctor. Like this: Bonds Women's Everyday Shorties 3 Pack - Black & Nude - Size 14 | BIG W

In bed, it is good ol' fashioned white cotton granny panties for me. I don't need to wear a liner overnight and they are also wide enough in the gusset to contain my undercarriage lol, and I sometimes wear them during the day too particularly in the cooler months.

There is a LOT to agree with regarding matching sets. It is far easier to conceal panties vs. a bra, and if wearing panties that match your bra makes you feel better about wearing the bra because the items look good together, it will give you more confidence to actually keep wearing a bra if you were not mentally comfortable doing so beforehand. There is absolutely nothing wrong with dressing in front of the mirror and acknowledging (and admiring) that your matching panties and bra looks good. If it is not actually a set, but the same color and similar style, well, that's close enough too.

If you need to wear large pads then mesh fixation pants are a great option to keep your pad securely in place.  At night time you can wear plastic panties on top which will protect against leaks.  This arrangement is quite bulky but was  preferable to the catheter and night bag that I initially had to endure a few years ago.

That was my concern too. But the ones my wife let me borrow/have a mre size 24 so there’s a 3 1/2 to 4 inches of material which does the trick. These are a bit tight on me though. My wife took my measurements and she said I should get size 28 or 30. She said I am technically a 30/32 but I have more narrow hips so she thinks a 28 or 30 will fit me.

When I was diagnosed I was depressed about it. To snap me out of that my wife told me to think about it like now I have this whole new world to explore. She told me to think about it like I am a guy down there and a girl up top. She told me to embrace that and explore and to experience what that means. She said she would support me and help me.

That’s what I have been doing for the last two months. She’s taken me shopping several times and each time I seem to buy one or two new bras and my bras are getting more girly in color and lace. Last weekend I browsed through the panties at the store then I borrowed a couple pairs from her to try. This weekend we are going shopping for panties for me. One time when we went shopping I tried on different women’s tank tops and camisoles and I got a couple to wear on the weekends around the house.

For me it’s like a previously forbidden world has been opened up and now I am free to explore and enjoy everything it has to offer. I am still a man but I get to experience being a girl and so far I love it. I never thought I would feel this way but I really like it.

Maybe it’s just a dopamine rush from the excitement of exploring things that were previously off limits. Maybe I am becoming a girl. I don’t know which is true but I love the feeling and I love my wife for allowing me to experience this. She’s not 100% comfortable with it yet but she is trying to be supportive and she is encouraging me to explore what it means to have boobs and to experience the fullness of what that means to a woman.

We will see where it goes.

Has anyone been offered matching panties when having a fitting?   It's an obvious sales opportunity. It did happen to me once in Marks and Spencer. The fitter was very helpful too and recommended a nice plunge bra with suitable full panties in the so called boyshort style. It was a memorable experience.

Torrid usually asks if I want matching panties,  but I have almost 50 pairs of all colours and styles, so I now decline.
