Unsure where to put this if it even belongs here but thought I’d ask as it seems related to.

No lumps or issues indicating concern. But for the last month I’d say or close to it. My left one has been in consistent pain. At times making me limp for some time being due to pressure.
It is notably smaller than the other and I feel it’s some level of atrophy occurring. This along with my continued growth experienced I feel is related to hypogonadism estrogen influence.
I’m seeing my NP next week and plan to address it and ask for an ultrasound to see if it’s a concern.
My NP is a woman close to my age and it just feels awkward bringing it up however. Was easier to turn and cough for my old GP who was some 65 year old dude.

This pain has been constant and impairing to some activities. The other day luckily at work and sitting but difficult to focus due to the ache of it.
Has anyone had any issue like this? I’m late 30s and otherwise healthy. And no injury or stress to the area to point blame to.
It just one day came about and has been present since.

Hypogonadism can cause testicular pain according to my urologist. I went through it for 5 years. Still get it from time to time. When my wife went through her change in her late forties, I really didn’t understand her situation. Then I went through mine starting at59, that hit me really hard I understood then what she went through….Not fun!! My doctor said it hits about 10% of men really hard. Well I am one of the ten percent. Lucky me!…. Not!☹️

I have had pain and discomfort and have associated it to breast growth happening at the time.  Change in hormones?  I only have one as one was removed 30 years ago.  We have done an ultra sound on this one to make sure its not dead.  It is larger yet fine.  My Dr.wanted me to monitor it keep it supported during those times.  It comes and goes yet but nothing that warrants action now.

  • Nothing is impossible, merely expensive.
I have noticed over the last 6 to 8 months that mine are more sensitive.  I set down at a restaurant about a week ago and it felt like I sat on the twins.  My wife saw the wince and asked if I was OK.  I will talk to my urologist at my next appointment in May.

At the beginning of my journey through this process of ‘what’s wrong with me’, I experienced bilateral ache not pain. Urologist ordered an US. Nothing too unusual except for a ‘heterogenous parenchymal tissue throughout’ . This could be artifact vs. a nascent neoplastic lesion the report said.
Two subsequent ultrasounds later over the years for a mild ache yielded nothing unusual. ( Skill of the practitioner involved here) The fourth US in 5 years resulted in an urgent phone call and a castration. Not cancer but an infarction process. Gotta wonder why the intervening docs didn’t see it.

That you fellas are having pain should be a warning shot over the bow as I only had a mild ache. I would counsel to get it explained.

Most here know the obtuse & rare history I have had over the years, couple this with gynecomastia & I think  the medical community owes us a deeper look to find the root cause. Yes, I know there will be the idiopathic ones  but that should be ruled in only after other causes have been ruled out.

We are the way we are for a reason. I found out that I am lucky to be alive several times over. I was told to put my life in order at 30, as I would likely only live 5 more years. Fooled them! But it turns out ‘then’ was a prelude to now’s syndrome. All my health issues for the next 40 years were related to the initial diagnosis. 5 years of a roller coaster and I finally have some answers. Only to find out that my condition has a mortality rate of 50% by ages 58-65. Dunno if I am dodging bullets or maybe just blessed.

I pray you all have good outcomes for any investigations you might undertake. Like we all know, hormones are very powerful, take care of yourselves & best wishes.

Regards, Bob
