It’s easy to see ourselves from our own perspectives. Noticing physical stuff like jiggle, bounce and sway for those well enough endowed for example, knowing that the size tag on your bra doesn’t lie even if you don’t believe it, accepting what you see in the mirror, even posting a proud selfie. All of these things confirm who we are. But there’s nothing quite like the sudden realization that we might look different when viewed through the eyes of other people.

The following heavily cropped and zoomed pic was taken by someone else from about 10 ft away a couple of weeks ago and I honestly did not know that this is how I appeared from a different perspective. It gave me a jolt. For clarity I am 40A or 38B or small 40B depending on the garment. The only thing I wore under my loose-fitting jumper this day was a long sleeve thermal, definitely not a bra or anything else that would provide projection. If anything, I might have been wearing a totally non-supportive racerback crop, so just a thin layer of material with a band underneath which does not provide any shaping or support whatsoever, just a hug and nipple protection. I honestly can’t remember.

I’m still in shock. I just thought I was a guy with a bit going on physically, and a mental attitude to suit, but I never thought I was this noticeable at a longer distance than an arm’s length selfie or a look in the bathroom mirror. I know I’m minor league compared to most of you. I can only try to imagine what the rest of you who are way bigger than me would feel in the same situation.

Yep.    This is a solid point here.  How others look at us (In my opinion only) should not amount to squat, but some folks see the bumps and go...that does not compute.
I spoke of this a little while back of a teenage boy at Evil coffee Empire looking at me with this odd look of curiosity and .. woha... wait... what?
To some, they dont care, others offended, others still actually find it oddly attractive.
But thats the human race for ya.
So in the mean time, I project them and stand tall letting them point the way, and say... if I got em.. Ill flaunt em!

So Evolver, IMO your fine, IDK how others see it, but to me its all good.

Acceptance means accepting that projection is going to be a thing, and not fretting about it.

In fact, proudly presenting, in some cases.
When life gives you curves,
flaunt them! 💃

Yeah, think that tee shirt might be a little too thin, a heavier weight tee might work better, just be aware of any wind that might come up and outline your shape. Putting an open button up shirt on over will obscure even more and you can wear a bra without having to worry.
I’ve pretty much gotten past the occasional realization from other people and actually kinda like the brain gymnastics that cross their face when they actually see that my chest is actually breasts and contained in a bra.
Tired of being uncomfortable so other people are comfortable.

Tax, yeah, I was just surprised that's all. And thanks, I know I can get away with it without caring.

Birdie, I'm definitely not fretting!

Trav, I never actually try to hide them, but that said I never wear tight outerwear either. I actually like what I see in the pic though!

The whole perspective thing is weird. Sometimes at home I'll puff out my chest and try to look sideways in the mirror and decide that there's actually very little there. But to me, that pic shows me as way bigger than what I thought I was, even if they are barely noticeable to most people. Weird.

Evolver,

Thanks for sharing.  I think your so right in that most people that look don't see what we feel they see.  I'm sure that photo was take without a thought of your chest.  They wanted to remember the two of you for who you are and where you are.  We as a society are so concerned at our outer appearance where while doing our daily activities no one cares.  On the same hand people see how we feel only if we display it.  Live as if nothing is there or wrong and others won't see it.

You can rationalize all day long. But people notice we have some boobage just like we note others have guts on display. But it is getting not uncommon to see guys with some degree of boob growth particularly if overweight, so people notice but they don't necessarily fixate on it due to the frequency of sightings these days.

But those with boob development that are more slim likely stand out more than average. A B/C cup on a guy at 160lbs will be more obvious than a same size cup on a guy sporting 220lbs.

I am in the 160lbs camp so mine likely are more noticeable.

If the bra fits, wear it.

Dude that's nothing. If your worried about how you look stop wearing a bra and get yourself one of those light compression undershirts like under armour or similar. They have cheap ones on Temu.

No, no, no, no, no! 😩

I think there's been a bit of misunderstanding in this thread.

I was amazed at what I saw in the photo despite their comparatively meagre size, so I decided to show off. I'm GLAD that they are slightly obvious. I'm NOT trying to hide them and I'm definitely NOT worried! I'm PROUD of them!

I guess some of you mean well, BUT I DO NOT NEED FIXING! 😡

I believe we overthink the issue. Yeah sometimes I get a downward glance at them but mostly not. When I wear a tank top I get a few more downward looks and stares.

My GF said that before mine budded and later became quite obvious she never noticed them on other men and now she sees them everywhere... sorta like buying a new car and all of a sudden you see that model everywhere!

I'm looking forward to that as my breasts become more obvious and I fill out a bra. No hiding for me!
