What experiences have you had with your local NHS GP surgery?
Mine has been a total lack of understanding and even less empathy from each GP I've seen at my surgery.
I got more empathy from a student Nurse who was sitting in the consultation than I got from the doctor!
What have your experiences been like?

<---Merican here.

it is not just the NHS over there across the pond.

Try the US!

Two mammograms, and the first doctor as I posted a year and a half ago was, professional, well spoken, polite, and came across as dismissive and oh "I am taking your man card, cutting it up, incinerating it, and taking the ashes and spreading them to the wind."

The second a female wanted me to so go mastectomy that she practically was drooling it. "How DARE you come into a woman's world with your breasts and pretend it matters!  LEAVE SMALLING!" Well not actually that, but the attitude was defiantly there.
