I have had a blood disorder when I was younger.  Treatments for this disorder included steroids such as Prednisone, Solumedrol and Dexamethasone.  Thankfully I'm in remission from that, however I went for a yearly visit to my hematologist (blood specialist) today.  I mentioned that I had developed a puffy nipples, and asked if it might have been caused by the steroids.  And if so, should I go to an endocrinologist to take some blood to see if it could be an abnormal level of estrogen.  I mentioned that if there is a hormonal imbalance or if I do have an abnormal level of estrogens, can I consider anti-estrogens prescribed from an endocrinologist, and he said there was no need for them. He looked at me like I was crazy, and said not to even worry about it.  Keep in mind, that he was a specialist for my blood disorder and anything medically (more specifically medication) done to me must be OK'd by him.  How come he doesn't understand this?  He said my body isn't finished changin.  I'm 20 years old and I think I'm pretty much done with puberty in my opinion.  I think I have been done for about 2 years.  Yes I am self conscious.  My mother said I'm crazy and should just ignore it, but I do not want to go on living like this. What should I do?  I need help!  >:(

At this time surgery is not an option.  However, once I graduate college in about a year and a half, and get a full time job, then it's a possibility.  Just out of curiosity, how much does the surgery cost?  I just an estimated price range.

Also in the first post, I did not mention that he was testing my thyroid for hyperthyroidism, and a couple of other thyroid disfunctions.  Would that have any affect?

If surgery is not an option at the time, may I suggest you maybe try some sort of undergarment to hide your gyne while you wait?

I know I keep mentioning this in the threads, but as soon as I came to my revalation I want to let evreyone else in on it.  ;D

Bambu is right you should consult a PS.

My gynecomastia is not that bad that I need to hide it while wearing regular clothes.  It only bothers me when I have a shirt off.  The summer is approaching and I want to go the beach without wearing a t-shirt.

A picture paints a thousand words as they say.

It would be easier to know the extent of the problem if you put a webcam picture up.
