How do u measure for a vest?

Did a quick search but didn't find anything ...

I've asked to provide my chest size so that a vest can be bought by the clinic.

Do u measure from nipple A, level all the way around to nipple A again? or other?

I measured around the nipple as this was the 'broadest' part of my upper body.

Notice I said 'was', cuz now it's not
