Surgery on the NHS?? Anyone ??

I have seen my doctor twice and so far i have been put off surgery and just wanted to wait to see if it went away but now i have decided that i mite go for surgery after all.

I live in the UK and i can get it free on the NHS, just wanna know if anyone has had it done on the NHS and what the crack was with the surgery and stuff, its just everyone who seems to have this surgery done is from the USA and paid thousands of dollars to get a plastic surgeon to do it.

Is the surgery different in the UK from the US? or is it just got to do with the taxes and insurance crap and thats why US residents cant get it on their health service?
