Hello guys, i am 25, just yesterday i got the first job in my life but i don't have the confidence and also i find it difficult to communicate. I have been an introvert all my life. I normally don't tuck my shirt in, now i have a job i am required to tuck my shirts in , some people in my office were staring at my chest, i have underworks 997 but it has lost its compression in only one week and also mine is worst case of gyno. I had done all the preparations for this job by buying Underworks, new cloths.... but now i think everything has gone in vain. I am thinking of quitting my job, any suggestions from your side?

I have a job but luckily I do not really have a strict dress code that I have to follow. The only advice that I would give you is that you shouldn't always think about your gyno. Whenever I am thinking about my gyno at my job, I feel like everybody is staring at my chest. I always think about my job and avoid any thoughts about gyno off my mind.

Before I got the surgery I just wore a tight-fitting black T-shirt under my uniform. Now that its done I can wear the uniform just by itself no problem.

Do not quit the job!

You describe yourself as Introverted and lacking in communication skills. You admit that at the age of 25 you are starting your first job. These and other things you said indicate severe depression. Which is no surprise, All of these things are common amongst men who have Gynecomastia.

At the earliest possible date, you should see a Psychologist.

A Psychologist will not only be able to help with the emotional issues common to so many of us; but He (or She) may be able to help you qualify for financial assistance with your surgery. (if that is your wish)

Good Luck!

Hey Problem man:

I have lived the first 30 years of my life as a classic under-achiever.  I have the advanced education, the financial backing from my parents, but I allowed gyne to prevent me from working jobs I truly enjoy.

I agree with Paa.  After several crappy psychologists, I found one who is awesome and has done a lot of good for me and how I see myself.

If you gave it time, as nothing changes after one consultation, I think it may help you with self esteem/communication problems and let you live a more happy life.

Thank You, jc71, for pointing out the very important point that I totally missed.

It is most important that you have a really good connection with a Psychologist if they are going to be of much help.

jc71 made a very important point in that you may have to look around a bit before you find one that you  "connect" with.

Yeh, I have a job in the UK Civil Service. It is strictly forbidden to discriminate on grounds such as gender, sexual preference, religion etc.

When I 'went up', at first I didn't wear a bra at work; then I decided that as I was more comfortable in one, I was darn well gonna wear one. The reaction ....... nil. Has anybody noticed ? Do they care ?

Fortunately I work in an office where we are all friends - perhaps they noticed, but are not saying. In any case, if any of us has a problem we stick up for each other.

Don't quit you job because of your fears of what other people might be thinking. If there is a problem, it's they who have it - let them spend their earnings going to the head doctor !

Be yourself ..... be proud to be yourself .... and quit fretting.

  • Gyne transformed me into a living dead.
i have a job too that deals with many people too.

i have an underworks shirt too but my gyne is also the worse kind. 997 can't hide my gyne well.

i just resorted to the extreme tucking of undershirt using a supporter and small robust belt. well for the first time, it hurts my waist, but I have managed to get out of pain. they stare at my chest, but they dont laugh, it seems that it looks like more of a muscle when it is extremely pushed by tucked in shirt. but it hurts my waist and shoulders.

i can't live this way any longer. i hope my second surgery this May will free me from this condition.
