Tensor Bandage / Vest (huh?)

I'm having surgery shortly and I've got a couple questions for the board...

The tensor bandage, is it itchy, annoying etc?  What does it look like?

I've heard about these compression vests, but I don't think I'll be getting one.  My PS mentioned getting a substitute at a sports-type store.  Any idea what he's referring to or what I should ask for?

itchy and very annoying but extremely cheap!!~

wear it over ashirt if you can then its bearable

remember to wrap it super-tight you will need help to wrap it properly...... otherwise it does no good

if you can get a vest get a vest though
