I think thats why he asked me to get TSH and HCG-beta hormone tests. I also got the breast ultrasound and scrotal ultrasound done, nothing came out of it. I will ask ur question the next time i consult him.
But, he confidentally said that i can go ahead with the surgery(without estradiol treatment), the gland will be cut, it won't grow back. I told him the gland has grown back in many guys after successful surgery. But he did'nt agree with me, he said that it depends on the skill of the surgeon.

hi all,
i met Dr SS Vasan at Diacon, he is a Andrologist. I redid prolactin, testosterone and estradiol test

here are the results
E2            30.36
total testo 4.48
free testo  32.3
prl            22.68

prolactin range : 4.04 - 15.2, so its clearly out of the mark. But endocrinologist....err andrologist said its not a major concern, and the tissue will not grow after surgery. so that makes 4 ppl saying the same thing.

One issue has cropped up though, Andrologist did Semen Analysis, and the findings such as semen count etc were fine except Motility.
They classify the sperms according to the ability of the spermatozoa to move forward. and in my case

excellent progression: 0
rapid :                 8%
slow:                 48%
non progressive     8%
immotile             36%

final impression: Asthenospermia
I dont want to confuse u ppl here. As far as Gynecomastia is concerned i have been given green signal.

I think he is good, give him a try.
He has good knowledge of Gynecomastia. He might still give you a green signal to go ahead with the surgery.
He has prescribed me Tamoxifen tablets for 3 months coz he thinks my Estradiol levels are a bit higher.
btw have you decided on any surgeon yet?
