Hey bud,

Good to hear that your recovery is going well. I am also going for surgery in 1st week of Sept with Dr. JCF.

About tenser belt, where you get those from? And how much those are for? Can you claim from your insurence company (at work) for cost of tenser belt?

Not sure about you where you work, but from where I work we have a benefits plan where you have HCSA where you deposite the money and claim for your medical bills (including costemic surgery) which are not covered by OHIP. So I will get cash from that. Also, I believe we can claim this big expense in tax filling. I have to find out but friend of mine told me that if your medical fees exceeds to certainm amount per year, you can claim in your tax. Anyone know about that? If so, please let us know.
Surgery done on Sept 6th, 2006 with Dr. Fielding - Toronto. Not 100% cured but will get there for sure !!!

Revision done on December 7th, 2007. Let's hope for best !!!

Hey "ireallyhatemyself":

Any update you can provide after your 1month of surgery will be really apprecited.

I am going for surgery in 1st week of Sept with Dr. JCF. And wondering if you can share your after surgery experience with me and others, will be a great help.

About compression belt, did you buy one or Dr. Fielding gave you one? If so, from where you get yours?

Apprecited.

Thx.

Hey 'Give Me Life'. Dr Fielding supplies a compression wrap for you that will be put on you before you wake up after surgery. If you are staying at the hospital overnight the nurses may give you another wrap or two due to any bleeding or stretching of the wrap.

Fielding told me he didn't think compression vests were necessary or even useful. After I got home I wore the wrap for a few days then went out and purchased a new wrap (just a leg wrap of good width and length). I used that until the three week mark, phoned Dr Fielding and he told me I didn't need compression any longer.

Good luck with the surgery mate.
May ye' spend half an hour in Heaven before the devil knows you're dead.
