About a month ago my left nipple started to hurt, it felt like a pimple or ingrown hair. After a week I developed a small lump in the areola but to the side of the actual nipple. Today it is still sore and the lump is still there along with some "puffiness of the entire areola. I am 28 and workout regularly. I have used steroids in the past, but it has been 2 years since I had last used, and never had any problems then. I don't think I have a testosterone deficiency, as I have a good sex life. My question is is this gyno? Should I visit a family doctor first or go directly to an endo doctor...Thanks
Hull, that's pretty much how it started for me too. I also used anabolic steroids and developed a very painful lump under my right nip about a year after stopping steroids. All of a sudden it was there one day, and only got worse from there on the right side, until the same thing happened under the left nip.
Your gyno is probably going to get worse from here. Your hormones are probably out of whack from taking the anabolic steroids, even if it's been a few years. I haven't taken any steroids since 1999 and my hormones are still out of whack...
Strange though...I'm more muscular, bigger, and stronger now than I ever was while taking steroids and it's been nearly 6 years. Weird. :-/
Anyways, you should probably see an Endo and get everything checked out.
