I'm 29 years old and believe I am a candidate for gyne surgery.  I'm alittle scared since I think I do have heart problems.  I have chest pains from time to time and I think it could be stress induced (I'm not really sure, it usually happens at night when I'm going to bed).  I am trying to get more exercise to improve my condition.

Are there big risks with having surgery, especially for someone with potential heart problems?

I'd also appreciate any recommendations of surgeons in San Diego or Souther California.  I may do gyne surgery as well as lipo on my abs....

I think you would be better seeking that advice from a qualifed doctor to be honest.

Before you even think about gyne surgery, please get your heart checked!  I am no doctor, but I can bet there are huge risks for someone with heart problems to be having surgery.

I agree with RPB and Daveo. Definetely ask a doctor about this. I'd ask both a reputbale plastic surgeon and also a heart specialist.

  • Gyne free, is the way to be!
There are many risks associated with surgery. As long as you get aboards certified doctor etc. you really won't have to worry about the risks.

Get you heart checked out, or just mention it during you consultation. Nothing to worry about. When you are in surgery, you have every kind of heart measuring device on. Everything motion of the heart is monitored by the anestisologist. If something were to not be normal, the surgery would be postponed.

  • Wilma, grab the lotion, we're going to the beach!
sdsurfer,
I have heart palpatations, but not really any pain.  My ps wants me to have a cardiologist do a stress test on me before surgery.

Dr. Sanders in Encino seems to be popular for gyne.
