On either side of my nips, just a bit lower, and towards the 'line' we all wish for for a perfect chest, I have what feels like a cyst but longer, and it REALLY hurts when pushed, especially the left side.  Is this scar tissue?  I didn't have it before the surgery.  I can actually SEE the lumps when I look down.  No blood pooling there or anything...but sore, especially the left side.
Also, the tips of my nipples had what I thought was dried blood behind them.  It started to peel off today on the outside...and they began to bleed a bit.  Anyone else have this?

I had a bit of very minor bleeding, only once, near the incision area. And it was about two weeks post. Seems to have fixed itself.

Peter, like you, I have those lumpy pieces of scar tissue. Scar tissue is up to 1000 times more sensitive to pain than regular tissue, so yes, it's going to hurt a bit. Especially when you massage.

In the last two weeks since I've been massaging I can tell it's gone down for sure. It's still present, but seems to get smaller everyday, definitely less painful now than it was when I put pressure on it.

Make sure to massage with up and down strokes using your knuckles. (Cross fibre) I do it in the shower everyday for about 2 minutes a side (was doing it twice a day for the first two weeks). Get all soapy so your hands slide over the skin more easily.

Don't worry man, your swelling will reduce and the scar tissue as well.

Go to the store and get a tube of Arnica cream and apply it over your whole pec liberally. Rub it in and make sure to hit all the spots where you have scar tissue. This seems to have helped as well.

Scar tissue elimination is a lengthy process, but with regular care, you should see improvement.

Good luck.

thanks for the reply.  i've got the arnica, and im also using vitamin E cream since the arnica dries so fast.  its going down for me too, but i still have those damn lumps...i even try to 'dig' my finger into the areas...but in the last day or so, my chest has gotten a bit better appearance wise.  like you said, i try to go up and down, but also circles, and everywhich way.  i still have tiny lumps under armpit area along the side which hurt moreso if i press on them...what a pain in the A$$  this is...
