My incision scars are bright red and not fading into skin tone as fast as I'd want to.  So it looks like I have four nipples!  :o Two in the right place and two mini ones below!  I hope the redness of these scars goes down in time.  I couldn't be shirtless on a beach as people would notice the two red marks are too obvious.  :'(  I was hoping they'd look more like slits the way braveboy described.

I was actually thinking about going to Dr Lista as Dr Fielding is always fully booked but after hearing your story I am very worried...

Both lista and fielding are the supposed best in southern ontario, so you have best odds of getting a good job by going to either...however the post op is a huge pain in the ass, and braveboy and myself are not happy at the present time.  Thats not to say that after one year, we wont be happy, its just that at 13 weeks for me and 11ish for braveboy, our results so far suck.  If when all is done and I am happy, I'll say the 5G was worth it completely.  If I have to get a revision, I'm gonna be PISSED.

hey, i gave up massaging.  no more.  i think its aggravated it.  i have big tubes of what i think are scar tissue underneath left nip that go above and below it.  on the right side (upper) i had the same thing, but its going away VERY slowly...so im hoping the same on left disaster.

i think if you have the option of a revision (which sucks i know huge), and after 2 weeks it hasnt pulled away from the muscle, then let things go, let nature do what it can, and wait and see.  i have no patience myself, but im sick of massaging and seeing the same chest everyday.

still wearing the silicone, seems to be taking effect now like it said it would after 4 weeks or so.  i have enough to last 3 more months, and thats with cutting each sheet into 8 pieces, wearing each piece for 12 hours a day, then throwing them out.  no washing them.

like fishy said, there might just seem to be a lot of hope for guys that went thru lista using the pal technique in the later months of the first year.  and he didnt massage...neither did grandpa bambu...

i dont think marx is massaging much either, so im gonna let it ride, and see if swelling scar tissue tubes of shxt go away....

funny how both of us have issues with the LEFT side though eh?

I have never massaged three times a day as prescribed after the first month.  I do a 15 minute massage every third day or so, lying in bed so all chest muscles are relaxed.  I do a pretty hard rub, :P with a bit of arnica and use fingers & palms, but really try to get in there and break down whatever's left.

I've also gained a few pounds and I can see a bit more on my boob area, I really have to keep disciplined and lose those pounds.  I can wear any shirt confidently though now.

I always have silicon bandage over incision cuts.  I cut bandage up into small squares of 4 millimetres that just cover the area, I find this sticks the best.  Lista told me the silicon bandage allows the area to breathe, but I'm now thinking maybe the redness will go down if it is left exposed to air, etc.  It's not as if the wound needs to heal at this point.  Lista says the silicon bandage promotes healing, but my redness is still too bright for my liking.  I'm at 3.5 months post op and I don't see the red marks going down for the summer and beach. :'(

hey, i cant remember what lista had said about massaging...i go back to him in 2 months...whether or not he said to massage for a certain period of time, or just a blanket 'keep massaging'...

im on day 2 of no massage...its no more swollen, no better looking, not sore...the same.

the silicone i do for 12 hours like the box says to have them on for at least for.  i have to use tape as well to keep them on, and i have a reaction to the tape so 12 hours off is good for me...it gets lots of air.  our 'scars' are so small, i think 12 hours a day is ample.

i was thinking of emailing listas office about massaging and if its ok to stop.

Lista told me to leave the silicon on ALL the time, except showering, etc of course, as there is no advantage to exposing to air because silicon promotes healing.

Keep me posted on answer from his office.  Thanks
