post op, how can you tell if the hard lump under your nipple is scar tissue or gland??

If it's post op and you had excision, then my money would be on scar tissue.

Thanks, I did. but the amount of puffiness on one side just seems too much for scar tissue. On that side that im suspecting scar tissue/gland is still very sore to the touch where the other is not. could that be an indication of scar tissue? Thanks. My PS says its possible that he may have left too much gland and could go back in and take it out if it doesn't go down withint hte next 3 months but I would of course rather have it go down by itself.

I hear what you're saying.  Just massage the heck out of it and hope for the best.
