SO...

here i am again... posting pics of my boobs.
i'm going to do a little before after thing but let me put you in context first :

i had my consult on June the 12th (just two weeks or so after i made the first call). i'm from Montreal so i wasnt too sure about the whole thing but since Fielding was THE doctor on the board i figured what the hell...

so i went, and scheduled my surgery for august 9th. the surgery went so well i thought it must have been his best shot. i never ever felt anything (except the crazy itching). after a week, i removed the pads and was astonished at how flat my chest was. but day after day, it just became worst and worst. so much so that i now think i am back to square 1. i'll let you be the judget :

here's how i was before my surgery, Fielding told me it was midly severe, a definite good candidate to the surgery:

and yet after 7 months, here are the boobs (dont be fooled by the fact that the decor is the same as the first pictures, THEY WERE NOT TAKEN ON THE SAME DAY, but about 8 months apart  :-\) sorry if the pictures are not all that good, they were take with my phone.

so ya, gyne is back

Hi Brebguy, I don't mean to offend you, but I think it's important that you get honest feedback. Your chest looks bad, both before and after. I see only a very slight (so slight that it's practically meaningless) improvement in your condition. You should be looking way better than that after 7 months.

I would definitely go back to Dr. F asap. You said that you looked flat shortly after the surgery - so if the tissue feels more like gyne than swelling or fat, it means that it must have grown back. If Dr. F agrees, I think you'll need to see a hormonal specialist.

ya i agree...thats a full 'rack' you've got growing back there...

how does it work then?  you see an endo something or other, then what?  meds?  then a revision to rid it once and for all?

Thanks for sharing the pictures Brebguy.

Do you feel any gland in there? If not, it might be major swelling and it might take you the full 12 months to heal, I really hope it's that.

Good luck.

Brebguy:

We are on the same boat. I am 6 months post ops where you are 7 months. I also have boobs after surgrey as it's not 100% flat out. But as yours I don't feel any glan near nipple or near by. But size is there which seems like boobs. I seen Dr. F in January and he told me that it is extra skin that need to compress and that take really long time. He ask me to wait for another 6-8 months. I am sure I have same size of boobs as yours (from your pictures) but it is very skinny kind not gland. And few fat still there. I am good wearing T-Shirt. Also, it's perfect when I raise my hands to 12 o' clock position. It's completly perfect 10. I wish I have that when I lower my hand. But it's much better than before. So, all I can say brebguy is, this is may be skin issue like mine. So wait for another month or so and than see. Hopefully everything will be fine.

Keep us posted with your progess and I will keep you guys with mine.

I am 3 months post op with Feilding for puffy nips

Initially I wasn't satisfied with the results

But I think it has improved over time, the scars had disappeared and my nipples are much flatter than before. The surgery doesn't reduce areola size it just removes the gland thats making them puff out, so realisticaly you will see only about a 20% reduction in areola size. But the puffing out of the nipples is greatly reduced, in my case it puffs out maybe 1/5th of what it used to (my gyne has fairly mild to begin with so it looks alright).

Basically before the surgery I wouldn't take my shirt off in public, after I would without hesitation.

WOW

This is the first time I've checked this board since about 2 weeks after my surgery...and there's a lot of the same people still posting on here who had surgery around that time! I had my surgery September 20th 2006...so that'll be 6 months soon. And I have to say, that I'm really more than satisfied with the results. Fielding really did a great job and I have no regrets whatsoever. I'm really sorry to hear that some of you guys didn't get the results you wanted. I actually saw an endocrinologist a week before my surgery and he told me to call back in 2 weeks for the results. I ended up forgetting to call back because everything was healing so well...but now, after reading some of these posts, I wanna call the guy just to make sure it wasn't a hormone problem...I would be really upset if gyne started to show up again. My glands were a medium size case according to Fielding, (they were undeniable in a medium t-shirt) I think for me, my gyne had a lot to do with a little bit of inheritance (dad and brother have really small puffy nipples...I had the big ones :-\ ) and probably the marijuana that I smoked regularly when I was a teen. The endocrinologost told me that marijuana messes with your hormones primarily only in your early adolescent years...it creates an imbalance and wham...you develop gyne. It kept on getting bigger till I got it removed (which I figure was due to gaining weight losing, gaining losing) (Oh yeah, by the way, even the endocrinologist downplayed my gyne removal, "Why do you wanna get surgery for that for?"...you figure an endocrinologist would see that often enough...but anyway)

These days I'm livin' large, I go to the gym everday with with proper fitting t-shirt (not extra large like I used to buy), slam out 20 minutes of cardio a day since 2 weeks after the surgery, work out everyday since 4 weeks after surgery. I walk around in public with no slouching or hunched shoulders to hide it...with complete confidence. I plan on going swimming and to beaches this summer...maybe even get my girlfriend to wax the few rogue hairs on my back... haha) On the whole I'm 99% satisfied with the results.

There are/were some negative aspects that came along with the surgery. For instance, when I took of the foam pads (well I should mention that I almost passed out because they were stuck on there so hard that some scabbing ripped off around the scars and I started to bleed) but they looked SUPER FLAT. Then I slowly noticed that the swelling was taking place..my chest returned to its original size minus the pointy nipples. For about a month, I continued to wear sweaters and shirts with double front pockets. But after that I wore t-shirts without really thinking about it...I was satisfied with the results one month after and it continues to improve...just like the good doc said. The other negative aspects for me were:

-Although I felt close to no pain after the surgery, two days later I experienced shock sensations (like hitting your funny bone) whenever I'd so sudden movements. Like jogging was really uncomfortable for a few weeks. Thats totally gone now.
-In my last week of wearing my tensor wrap (3rd week), whenever I would pull it up, because it was slipping (I didnt use a reinforcement compression vest) It would burn like as if I had a bad sunburn. Ever since, that feeling has slowly dissipated but is still slightly there. Like for example, it is still unconfortable to sleep on my stomach. It's not that bad, just annoying...Does anyone feel that at all?
-Finally, when I raise my arms straight up in the air, there is an ever so slight indentation on my right nipple that I feel is barely noticable. To tell you the truth, I don't really care at all. I had realistic expectations going in...and now, if that is the only long lasting effect of the surgery, I'll be extremely satisfied.

Anyway, I wish everyone luck who is about to get surgery, who's about to get touch ups, or who had surgery and is recovering.

Its good to see so my many guys continuing to contribute so long after your surgeries.  I'm really shocked at brebguy's results. Hopefully you'll see the endo and that will be the beginning of the end of your situation for you man.

As for mine, I had my surgery on Jan. 31, 07.  So far results have been good.  Left side is basically perfect except for the scar around the areola which is healing.  Right side their is some swelling.  Also on the Right side I had a slight indentation/hard spot just south of the areola.  This is slowly going away week by week and the left is starting to look more and more like the right side.  I hope this continues and the swelling goes away completely.  I'm being a little more conservative than most.  I wore the vest for 4 weeks instead of 3.  After that I have started wearing compress Ts basically full time.  I'll continue to do that for another three weeks I think. I just started running last week and I don't think I'll lift weights until I take the compression of completely.  Chest does feel wierd when I run, especially on the left side.  Other than that I'm very pleased with my results to this point which is about 5 weeks post op.

hey Loman, hope everything will be good for you. indeed running felt weird, even when in the car, i would feel weird everytime i would hit a bump on the road.

as for wearing a compression vest, Fielding suggested to not keep the compression to long because in order for the whole thing to heal correctly, the blood needs to flow freely. he also said that past that time, compression wont do much to the shape or swelling.

so be careful
