How long in the vest? Hello?

I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow.  I forgot to ask the doc how long in the vest.

Well?  What do you think? 

I think I've been wearing it a little too tight.  It was binding the hell out of me toward the end of the day.  Chafing alot.  So I loosened it up to the loosest it can be.  The doc really didn't say much except "it should be snug".  When I take the vest off for 5-10 minutes it starts hurting.  I don't know why it still hurts after 3 weeks. 


Anyone been through this?  How long did you wear the vest for?

I am almost two weeks post op, and I understand, 4 weeks minimal to 6 weeks, depends on the individual.

Yeah... I'm having vest issues too. i'm at 11 days postop and can't wait to be done with the compression stuff. The binder they gave me at the hospital chafs and constantly has to be adjusted; the underworks compression shirts I bought chaf my nips bad but i think it's just cause they are healing and the scabs are starting to fall off exposing sensitive skin. do you have problems with the stitches sticking into you?

put a 4x4 guaze, or dressing bandage ( soft) over stitches then your comp. garment this helped me
