At the request of some of my UK patients, I have added a BMI Stone Calculator for the individual who prefers Stone vs. Kilogram for weight entry.

Hope this helps,

How can superobese be worse than morbidly obese?

These calculators are fine but take NO account of muscle mass. You wouldn't call a 250lb premier rugby
player obese!?!

Well theyre only a guide. A 250lb premier rugby player wouldnt be worrying about whether they were obese or not. Sadly for the majority of us any extra weight we're carrying is fat not muscle.

You are right, wearing extra weight is just no fun.

Superobese is the defined category beyond morbidly obese.  Some people just defy what it means to be overweight and new definitions were needed.

You are correct, the entire concept of BMI does not pertain well to the many bodybuilders I care for.  When I evaluate a patient I use clinical exam, body fat analysis, and BMI together to make my assessment.

You can learn more about body fat calculators and the value of body fat analyzers here.
