Johndoe1 and oldguy, congratulations, as 100 pounds and 57 pounds are significant weight losses and accomplishments.

And so are the DD and C cup breasts you have

It is sometimes hard to find the words to describe the state of mind with wearing a bra.

Some are describing being relaxed, the sensations of wearing a bra, the physical support. These of course all personal observations.

I would add that it feels appropriate, logical, accepting, confirming, and maybe even expected. From the very beginning of trying on a bra it confirmed to me that I did have breasts, that it was logical to wear one for the support, and gave me some sort of confidence that I was managing my comfort and appearance appropriately.
This will probably come out wrong, and make it seem like it belongs on a different forum, and I totally get that.

I have said before that wearing a bra for me is more for my brain than for my breasts. I say that mainly because of my comparatively small size and lack of discomfort when I don't wear one. Yet, there is an increased amount of both physical and mental comfort when I do wear a bra. There is absolutely zero amount of fetish or excitement attached to it, but a definite amount of justification. I agree that even at my size, it feels appropriate and logical. Wearing a bra is confirmation of my WHOLE self-acceptance. ❤️

blad, I totally understand what you are referring to regarding being unable to define in words the state of mind when wearing a bra. Totally.

Evolver, small bust women feel the same. Many admit that they don't need to always wear a bra for support but the act of containment is a comfort to them. Even AAA cup women admit this. It gives them confidence, the same as larger bust women. The mammary tissue, no matter the size reacts differently than fat and the brain knows this.

  • When life gives you curves, Flaunt them! 🤗

A bra is an article of clothing, it has no gender of it's own.

I know a CNA that wears training bras because she is an AA cup, but wears a bra anyways.

If the bra fits your 'persona', wear it.

I totally understand ❤️. I was a sixteen year old boy when I started wearing a bra full time. Yes, I was well enough endowed at a 34C to need to wear a bra. However, I also WANTED to wear a bra. It's been 35 years since then. I still both need and want to wear my bras. I guess some things never change.

Perhaps Evolver, our bras are our weighted blankets?  I never understood why neuro diverse people often use them but given the comfort and security I get from my bra I now think that I do.

I have seen a theme of those who developed breasts in their teen years at the same time as the girls in our age group did.

Once we have made the step to try a bra on and confirm that we do have breasts and fit a bra, we often realize that we want to wear a bra. Beyond all the practical reasons to wear a bra we also desire to wearing one. Maybe it is our way to admit to ourselves that we do have breasts like a girl and accept that fact by treating them as breasts in the same way a girl would.

Perhaps all the hormones that grew the breasts like a girl gives us a similar attitude a girl would towards them? Girls look forward to their breasts and manage the presentation and comfort of their breast with a bra.

I was a bit surprised and confused when I realized that I liked and wanted to wear a bra after first trying one.
If the bra fits, wear it.

I agree, maybe it could be something like that. But for me, all I know is that for some reason, I glow inside a bit, just knowing that I am one of the lucky people on the planet who has a reason to know what it is like to wear a properly fitting and comfortable bra or even a crop. It DOES feel like a constant hug, with an associated constant release of happy hormones. I guess, really, who cares why. I'll just enjoy it. 🥰

I remember a German blog about bras. A young female had very small breasts (AA) and started the blog since she liked wearing bras to emphasize her femininity but couldn't find a lot of bras in her size. If she was successful with a new bra she showed pics of herself in the garment to encourage other women with small breasts not to give up looking.

And even some of the women with a bilateral mastectomy who are "going flat" wear bras for the same reason, i.e. not using breast forms but only to conceal their scars and to feel feminine again. Scroll down to some of the customer's pics.

A bra is just an article of clothing for people with breasts.
