It's a bit easier for you Birdie since your intention is to present as the woman you are.  Most of us present as men, which creates some confusion if we are intent on showing off our endowment.  I've been experimenting with.a 42D brassiere of late, still a minimizing bra without padding or shaping, but it gives my breasts a bit more space to take their natural fullness.  Personally I love the look and feel of my breasts but I still wear an extra layer to conceal them.  This is quite a journey... loving our breasts but really not invited to share them with a world that seems disturbed about any gender bending possibilities... I think men with breasts do exactly that, regardless of how comfortable we may feel as men.  That is why this website is so important to all of us.  We can enjoy what nature has given us.
Yes, the balancing act. I have a feeling that most of us have come to accept our boobs and feel good about managing them with a bra. We may even truly enjoy having to wear a bra now. But I think most of us would rather not show that to the world. So we make at least a reasonable attempt to not show off bra straps too obviously and not have clothing that displays our breasts to the fullest. In public, I think it is true that slight outlines of our bra generally go under the radar as people do not expect to see a bra on a guy....although obvious breast development may create more attention towards us anyway.
If the bra fits, wear it.
