My boobs are from genetics, everyone in my family has a pair, i got them at the begining of puberty, nipples were sore at first during puberty then grew. They have been stable (so i think/hope for more than 3 yrs) so i got surgery thinking i didnt need an endo,

im 3 month post op and im going to ask my doc at my next physical to set me up with an endo to be on the safe side.one just to be on the safe side.

Talked to an endo about an unrelated issue a few years again when I couldn't lose weight.
Brang up my gyne, just said it would go away in due course. I've found all these sorts of specialists very condescending, and treat you like a liar (I exercised heavily and ate healthy, did the right thing and he pretty much thought I was lying and told me that you "really" actually need to do these things). Mine never followed through on blood tests either.

Probably more a poor endo then a generalization, but it didn't help me thats for sure. Next check-up I'll be requesting they measure my hormone levels.

I find it amazing that many medical profs. think that G can be dieted/exercised away!   

I could understand a layman saying that, but from a Med. Prof? They should know better...

Had an endo consult last year here in Seattle-went to very highly recommended endo who I was referred to by a reputable website-think it was endocrinology.com or something similar.  They had recommendations from gyne sufferers.  What a waste of time and insurance money.  Was tested up and down, told to wait for a call about the results, waited no call came so I called and was told Dr. so and so says everything is normal and you don't need another appt.  I asked to have on and they said I shouldn't come back in so don't make an appt.  Not happy and would definitely dis recommend this highly recommended DR.  Don't wan to mention names but please research the hell out of your endo because you might not get anything other than a dismissive visit.  Pass this on to anyone interested.  CJ

The Society for Endocrinology was first formed when I was about 9 year old. (Approx 62 years ago)

Endocrinology was not fully recognized as a medical specialty until somewhat later. Too late to be of any value for me.

After being treated for an epiphyseal separation Right distal Radius, at the age of 48, I had a full bone age survey (x-rays) and hormonal evaluation. except for the arthritic conditions and some degeneration of the joints (apropriate to my actual age) my bones and hormones were quite normal for a young man at the age of 17. Read this paragraph again and check the numbers. Also note the type of fracture that I had, it should have not been possible at my true age.
