So. After 2 surgeries for actual gyno (just gland) 3 years ago, a different PS and I came to the conclusion (last july) that my right areola hadn't shrunk like the other side had, and I underwent a nipple/areolar reduction for the one side. Since then, I developed a good bit of scar tissue underneath and a very noticeable raised whiteish scar around my nipple. Being an idiot, I didn't protect my healing chest from the sun that well and am now worried that my scars will never fade.

Does anyone know if those silicon scar sheets and/or cortisone injections work at reducing scar size both on the surface and deeper? It looks worse than before and I'm starting to realize why the wiser people on these boards have said not to demand absolute perfection, because sometimes that will drive you to making things worse. I'll post some pics later.
