What age to get gyno surgery at?

I am 16, almost 17, and have had a medium level case of gynecomastia since I was 12. It has not shrunk, and shows no signs of leaving. I was wondering if I am at the age where I should be considering surgery. The condition is very embarrassing, and I am often very self-conscious. The nipples also are often in pain, and appear puffy/swollen.

If your gyne has been present and unchanged for over four years, it is highly unlikely that it will magically disappear in the next year or two.

To answer your question:  yes, you are probably a candidate for surgery.  As a teen, you should discuss the situation with your parents and then arrange to visit a gyne surgery specialist for further information.

Just FYI, I have operated on over 275 adolescents with gyne, and none of them have had a recurrence of their gyne after surgery.

Age is not main parameter to take Gynacomastia treatment but it depends on severity of treatment. It's better to take early if possible.
