well today was the big day! I can't believe it's actually done. my chest were so big and flabby and now it's all gone. I had gynecomasita of mostly fat but also with a little bit of glandular tissue. my doctor told me to go home and take a look at myself in the mirror to get an idea of what the final outcome will be like, since there will be some significant swelling on the way for a while. here's what I look like at the moment. I reaaally hope it works when I try to link the pictures. if it doesn't and you really want to see just ask and I'll email you. Im pretty happy at the moment but there is one thing that conerns me. my right nipple is very flattened, almost sunken in, while my left one is still just slightly puffy. does anyone know if this irregularity usually solves itself?

(Done by the good Dr. Sonya J. Merriman in Valdosta, Georgia. I recommend her highly.)

Pic is a 'No-Show'...  :-/

My right areola is puffed out and feels hard underneath. My left areola is a tad smaller and is slightly sunken. I'd rather have them both a bit sunken. Having one sunken and one puffed out looks odd.  :-/

sorry about the pics. the problem with this site is, to post a pic you have to have it uploaded somewhere else on the internet and link it here. if anyone knows a way around this please tell me!

you're case sounds a lot like mine. my right one is perfect but my left one is still a little popped out, a little redder and just a bit wider. Im not too terribly worried about this since the contour of my overall chest finally looks right and the slight puffyness of lefty is probably never going to be noticed by anyone but me. here, I'll link a pic of me for if anyone wants to see what I basically look like now. but this pic is on a site for all my friends to see, who know nothing about the whole ordeal or would even know what gynecomastia is. so I used windows paint to make the surgical cuts and bruises invisible and made it grayscale.

You look as normal as can be.  Don't get *too* critical about what you see, I bet you notice more on close examination than the "man on the street" would.

thank ya. yeah I doubt anyone would notice the difference unless taking a close examination from my view. but I talked to my surgeon today and she said this is just swelling that will go away over time. because there really isnt any tissue that I or her can feel and everything was perfect right after surgery. oh by the way, that picture was taken while I was still getting off the anesthesia, I don't really look like that much of a druggy!

unfortunately I don't have any before photos. for the simple reason that I didnt let anyone see me with my shirt off...ever.

though they did take some at the surgeons office so they may give me their before and afters. if they do I'll definitely post them.
