Annonymous surgery. Is it possible?

Due to some events that happened last days in my life, I thought that the gynecomastia correction surgery would completely change the quality of my life and I decided to go for a surgery in a month.
I'm so frustrated about my problem that I wouldn't want to tell anyone about the surgery, like parents or friends. The question is: is it possible to walk, eventually drive after leaving the clinic ( i guess the next day after surgery, or the same day). I just hadn't had any surgeries in my life and I've no idea how painful would it be after it.

Your questions will depend upon the type of anesthesia you have for your operation.  If it is under pure local anesthesia, with no sedation of any kind, then it is more likely that you could get home by yourself.

If you are having either sedation or general anesthesia, then it would not be safe for you to leave the office/hospital without another adult to accompany you to a hotel or a home environment.

Pain immediately after surgery is usually not a factor since local anesthesia is usually injected and lasts for several hours after the operation terminates.  Rather, it is your mental status after having received some type of anesthesia -- you simply are not reliably capable of traveling or making decisions for a number of hours.  That is why I always insist on my patients having an escort to take them back to their place of recovery.

Thanks for asking the question bro 'coz i'm planning to keep it from everybody as well. My plan is to undergo local anesthesia, drive myself home and go to work like nothing happened. But i guess ill be taking a week off post-op. Can't wait.

Just a word of caution about surgery under local anesthesia.  In my hands, local anesthesia works best for a very small, localized button of excess tissue directly under the areola. Anything more than that would best be performed under sedation (or general) anesthesia.  There are many reasons for this, none the least of which is the avoidance of very significant pain on your part.
