Well time will tell for all of us on results, but it is good you are cleared to move forward.

Yea, I agree.. Also pretty reassuring that he's open to lipo if need be.

How's the left side doing?

In the grand scheme of things, what's another grand? Sucks - yes, but we must look ahead, ya know?

did he say if the lower half of your chest would fill out when flexing?

I agree.. I'd happily dish out a grand to GUARANTEE have a nice shaped chest.

TBH I didn't ask. It's like god damn target practice (on a moving target) with him. He's always pushing forward staying positive in a kind of fast pace manor, and you are trying to remember all the shit to ask him. I think its half scar tissue that will loosen up, and half fat to be honest. I think a lot of my issues will resolve with fat loss, but I don't think I will be completely satisfied until I get the lipo and he actually trieS to SCULPT my chest. When you read that Dr (Berments? or whatever) posts, he clearly was a male chest sculpture artist, not just a gyne removal dr. It's hard to find a doc that cares as much as that dude, but at the same time he probably would have cost 7500+ plus travel fees.

The left side is actually down a little this morning from yesterday. I would say 10 percent less ballooning in the last 24 hours. Still not looking good, or feeling good, but heading in the right direction I think. Hey it has been only three days right?

About sculpting - my doc used those words on my chest. He used tissue removal and lipo and all sorts of stuff. For 6700 bucks he should have given me the works.  But I kind of ignored that term  - as in my case I did not expect him to "sculpt" a sloppy middle aged man. Thats why I am sticking with my own personal expectations for results on my chest. The neck was pure laser lipo and cost me and extra 2300, so far those improvements are modest at best, but at lease there was no brushing or scaring there. But hey lots more can change in the next month.

I go in this morning for longer post op meeting. yesterday was rushed on hemotoma evaluation. Want to discuss results, talk about tissue vs fat removal (what did he find) etc.

Good stuff, Greatlakes.  You're right, it's only been THREE days after a fairly serious surgery, the body takes time to heal.   I look forward to hearing about his findings!

Cross.  I hear you.  I'm hopeful that your results will turn out well, even if lipo needs to be done.  Did he say when he'd be able to revisit?

As for Bermant, I've read tons of his post and he seems to know what he's talking about, but his AMOUNT of replies scares me.  Almost like Blauuu, talking about his own greatness in order to drum up sales on these forums.  However, if what he said was true, he certainly makes a case to really know what he's doing.   When is your next follow up with the gyne-expert?

I agree. I get annoyed like hell reading through his copy/paste replies, but he did fully devote his self to gyne and that's basically what I was getting at.

He didn't mention when he'd be able to do anything, but I go back May 14th, little over a month from now. That will be 2 months post op. If I feel the fatty stuff is still there, I will definitely start discussing the revision. He seems to have a very shitty memory, so that's my next fear that he'll forget he mentioned the lipo deal lol.. Time will tell, but I will raise hell if I am not satisfied. Everyone I've told about the situation (friends, wife etc) seem more angry than me. For 5k everyone thinks he should have done it right the first time..and I agree.

I was laying in bed last night with my shirt off; and honestly I can def see how he would think I was good to go if he never proped me up. My nips lay perfectly flat, and I dont appear to have ANY fat. However as soon as I sit up/stand etc you can definitely see it. You'd THINK after 20 years, he'd know how to position you to assure the best contour, but he does do a shit load of bbers with low bf, so maybe he's just used to guttin' out the gland and moving forward.

May 14th, got it.  Hopefully you can drop 10 lbs by then and in conjunction with your body's healing, you'll see some changes take place.

Maybe he knows what he's doing and we're just being too judgemental, too soon.  We'll see the progress by May 14th and go from there - if still shitty, THEN I'll start talking shit and sending him hatemail.   :-)

haha amen. Basically, if they uncrease I think i'll be cool once I drop some lbs and get some muscle tone back. It's not the fat that I worry about (strictly from a physical standpoint), its the crease; I just so happen to think the crease and upper chest fat go hand n hand...We shall see. Hardly even April so I have a couple months to turn it on.

Hey Greatlakes, did you feel your hematoma coming on?    I know I'm a few days past you, 8 days post-op, but I seem to be swelling up pretty bad around the outside perimeter or both pecs, starting from about 2 inches under the armpits and across the underside of each chest muscle; feels sore and tender to the touch, but also kind of numb.  No bruising - yet.  Have either of you read about anything like this?

Take a pic? I honestly think mine swole up a bit around 8-10 days.. I think I am still swollen; only real reason I think that is I am tender in a few spots and they just look a little puffy. Also, where those 'fat knots' are, its pretty damn tender, wonder how much is scar tissue...

Anyway, I think you'd know by the size if it was a hematoma..

It came on quick, and yes I felt it.  By time I got home it felt swollen on that left side, when I took my vest in the morning my entire pec/moob was blood red/purple and huge.  It was not the swelling it was the discoloration. The blood and pain is now moving down the side of my body towards my hips as the doctor said. My right side is now more swollen then be before - but it is not a hemotoma.

Doing ok...still patiently waiting on everything to shape out..played a softball game tonight and feeling way less tender, more flexibility, and running doesn't irritate the chest much at all...gym starts tomorrow, excited to get my ass back in shape...

On a happy note, I went out and bought 4 new tshirts today. That really thin, comfy material (v neck) plain colored t's that I wouldn't have dared to wear pre op..they look great man, it's SO nice to wear a simple plain, comfy t without having to constantly worry!! They are going to look even better whe. I get my upper chest development, shoulders, and my 18.5 inch arms back :)

How are you doing bro?

Great to here how you look in t shirts crossfit. Good to be active huh?

Showtime620, whats up with your healing. Not heard alot of details from you on your process lately.

I am doing okay about 6 days post op. Taking my last day today off work, a full week. Will see doctor at 4pm, then he is gone for 10 days on (another) vacation. Able to comfortably do small things, get groceries, make bed, etc but I get tired very quickly. Still bummed about how badly beat up my left chest looks. Huge dark purple and bruise over my whole left side of body now. I am bummed it might be several more weeks (maybe 3-4) before I can feel comfortable with certain activities with wife (if you know what I am saying). This waiting to see what the real results will be is difficult. Even with all this swelling and discoloration, I know the doc removed a bunch of fat and tissue so I know what i am seeing is swelling, blood, and fluid right now. I am thankful for the posts from Dr. Jacobs and other well known gyno experts in the  "ask the doctor" section which address swelling and hemotomas as common and normal and several weeks maybe needed to see swelling go down and to see results.
