Hi All,

I just had a consultation with a PS about my gynecomastia.

He wants to proceed with lipo only, and no gland excision.  Has anyone else had this?  Is this common?  (I would've assumed the gland would come out, too).

He says it's more fat than gland.  How can you tell the two apart?

Thanks.

Do you have any pics of gyneoomgwhymustwesuffer?

I would find find another PS if he/she said that, because lipo is a temporary fix. But it depends on your case.

I think that you'll find that most surgeons would prefer to keep their options open so they can adapt the procedure to what they find as the surgery progresses.

Lipo, by whatever name it is known, is the preferred method for fat; While excision is the only effective way to get rid of glandular tissue.

Rarely would Gynecomastia consist of either fatty or glandular tissue alone.

It would be in your best interest to get another opinion.
