Hi guys,

I'm looking to have surgery with Dr. Karidis in the near future. I have been on this site for a while now and have never heard of an unhappy karidis patient.

I was just wondering whether there are any people who were perhaps not completely satisfied with an op from karidis?

I think there was someone who went back for a revision, i actually asked the same question a few months ago and that was the only person i think

Surgery isnt always 100%, i think his success rates 98% (the other 2 going back for revisions). I had surgery a week a go and im more than satisfied! I think youl be hard pressed to find a post on here with an unsatisfied customer

Go for it mate, you wont regret it

Dr K is one of the best surgeons in this field in the uk if not Europe, he really knows his beans, you will struggle to find anyone not happy with what he does.

Worth the expense.

Before you criticise a man walk a mile in his shoes, after that who cares? your a mile away and have his shoes.

I think there were two people last year who were going back for revisions with Karidis to have some indents filled in....... I THINK they were 'albion' and 'crazygyne' , but thats going from memory so you might want to use the search and have a look through the forums............. also I believe 'hadenuf' was concerned about needing a revision, but he was only 6 months out and was still healing....... again use the search function!

Despite those two going back for revisions I would not let it put you off having surgery if you are happy with the surgeon.   - Many people on this site seem to think surgery is easy and the results should always be perfect first time around........ I think that is pretty naive to say the least.......... things go wrong!  poor results and complications happen no matter how good or experienced the surgeon is or claims to be.

You have to weigh up the risks & benefits yourself before undergoing this type of cosmetic operation................ I mean personally I would be very cautious about having surgery if you only have a very minor case, because a lot of people in that situation seem to end up swapping one problem for another and never being fully satisfied.

To be honest those type of issues should all be addressed when you have a consult with a decent surgeon anyway - Karidis appears to have a good reputation, so I doubt he would offer surgery unless he felt there was room for improvement and the benefits were greater than any risks.

edit:
I also see many people on here post quite soon after the surgery (say 3 months), appearing to be really unhappy - when they get to 9 months or a year they seem a lot happier, so you should always factor that in as well, the healing process takes a fair bit of time and many minor issues can improve dramatically with a bit of time.

Surgery isnt always 100%,

That is so true..... I keep trying to tell everyone but very few people listen and have way too high expectations, which leads to real disappointment!

Plus, what one person thinks is a fantastic result might be considered rubbish by someone else or vice versa.
