hey mate, try not to worry at all. i was on these forums for 3 years before i got the courage to have surgery. now i think to myself 'that was easy!'. try to remember that doctor k does this every day and he is the best in the business hence why he gets most of the clients. he keeps his reputation as high as possible. the staff he has know all about gyne and its nothing new to them. they are all really great and its almost like a visit to the dentist! check in check out!

once your done, work your way back slowly and set some achievable goals. dont eat rubbish food, go to the gym, jog in the park and get yourself where you want to be.

Thanks for the boost brother.

I took a really good look in the mirror last night and knew 100% that I am doing the right thing. Its a great feeling sitting here now and knowing that in a few short weeks I wont have it any more.

I have complete confidence in Dr K and his procedure, im just looking forward to day to day without the condition tugging at the back of my mind.

Guys, am I supposed to have received arnica etc from karidis by now? I have the surgery this week and thought I was supposed to have received an antibiotic and arnica in the post....or am I getting confused?

Anyone who's been with karidis please let me know!

Nothing to be worried about - just let them know that you have not received the arnica tablets, and they will give them to you on the day of the operation. You are not required to take them prior to the operation, so not a big deal, really. All the best on Wednesday!

Done!

Im at home now quite tired from the anasthetic and excitement so I'll write up a full post tomorrow...I also havent seen my chest yet. Tomorrow when I have a shower and replace my bandages will be the first time....I hope it looks good.

I do want to take the time to state how comfortable karidis and his staff made. Right from the beginning they put me at ease and the care I recieved was absolutley first rate.....couldnt have gone better and I couldnt be happier with that side of things.

Just hope my chest seals the deal now!

Heres a link to an album with pre and post op pics (1day post op). My chest is completely flat...the right side almost seems a little concave around the nipple but to be honest, at this point, I am putting a lot of it down to the dressings and swelling. My nipples also seem kinda strangely shaped (squished up and weird looking) but I also attrubute this to the dressing, compression, swelling and the fact Im only one day post op.

I know I have a long way to go and things will gradually even out as I go along.

Let me know what you guys think

Looks top mate, yet while its in my head though i will get on the topic of massaging

Karidis will phone you in the next few days, ask him how to approach massaging (at the three week point). I think i did it too vigorously and to often. I could never find a conclusive answer for the best massage technique make sure you find this out because it will be the key to your recovery

dont worry about your nipples, looking at the tiny incisions made (seriously they are very small) theyl heal up great in the next few weeks/months. If you mean the slight concave above the nipples on the pec itself yeah thatl go i had that it took a few weeks though if i remember right. Your armpits look a bit saw on the incison points i had an allergic reaction to the waterproof bandages if you do ... just dont wear them!

So 3 days post op (had the operation on Tuesday)

Things are healing up pretty well so far, Ive stopped wearing plasters on the lipo incisons as they are so small and have pretty much healed already. The nipple incisions are still a little bit open so Im keeping those covered and wearing the compression vest all day except for 20 mins to have a shower and one or two very quick breathers here and there.

So far the chest is looking great, absolutley flat. In my last post I expressed a little concern about an indent above the nipple but thats seems to have righted itself. I think it was probably down to the padding applied directly post op. I am bruised and a little sore in the chest but things are getting better and easier every day. Ive been up and about since the day after the operation so it hasnt slowed me down much. Ive also regained a lot of the movement in my arms, still not 100% but getting better every day.

I have developed some creasing across my nipples but im not reading too much into this just yet, still very early days with lots of healing going on. Plus I have read most people have suffered from creasing which seems to have righted itself. Has anyone else experienced this?

Pics below for anyone who's interested. You can see the nipple creasing a little in the pics
