Hi Ad21,

Mate did you send the blood results to kardis office or did the GP do it for you? If you sent it did the GP post the results to you? You send the blood work results to same office address to where you sign the consent form that needs to be signed - the 1st Floor, Brampton House, 60 Grove End Road address? Also how long did it take for your bloody tests results to come through? I got a early date with karidis was lucky, but now rushing to get the blood work done asap.

 Cheers

I sent my blood results by post and they were right cunts about it and blamed the postal service/the hospital for them not getting it. In the end the results had to be reposted. They kept on suggesting that i could just "pop up to st johns and have it done" and the cost of £130 and a 150 mile journey.

The problem is with blood tests is that they never get handed to you to send (in my experience) and its send via the blood clinic to St Johns so you cant track the delivery yourself. I think its to do with data protection i had mine done via a phlebotomist so i dont know how a doctor would give out the results.

My advice would be, google a phlebotomist in your area pay the charge (£20ish) give them an extra tenner and ask for it to be send next day guranteed delivery.

Hey mate My local GP told me to come in and collect a print out of the results.  I then scanned them in and emailed them to karidis.  Nicola then emailed me back to say she recieved them and there good to go :)

This would prob be the best solution if your having hassle with your doctor....got tested friday morning, got results monday morning, was pretty impressed considering it was the NHS...Cost nothing either :)

Any tips for getting back into weight training post op thetodd?

Id have a shake a day low carb protein while you cant train (i used USN IGF-1). Id just say move the focus away from the chest which is pretty hard to do i know and just lift low weights and do longer toning sets. I mean youve got a tight core so id probally be worried about losing the V-Cut abs youve got id just inclined to bang out a hard ab routine when you get back in the swing of it

i mean you look damn cut to me, i think youl have a top notch post op result ... definatley think this topics viewcount will skyrocket once you post some post op pics

Clean shave it about three days beforehand, they put waterproof plasters on the incisions and when you take them off a 24 hours after its sooo painfull peeling them off the long hairs on your chest. Use a sensitive gel and just moisturise afterwards a few times you wont get red bumps everywhere then.

Karidis will mark you up with a pen, i felt well embarrassed because i had bodyhair like an afghan hound really wished i took a bic to it at the time. Ive got into the habit of doing it every week now. Also makes it look better when your doing the post op reveal, which will feel great trust me!

Thanks for the reply mate.  I think after about 4 weeks im just going to train my legs.  Gunna hold off on upper body for as long as i can.  My abs seem to come through fairly easily when i keep to a strict diet.  Really looking forward to the op! Only 4 weeks today :)

were u able to start cardio 2 weeks post op? do u only have to wear the compression garment for 2 weeks or do u have to wear it for 2 weeks all the time then a furtehr 2 weeks at night after that? there is no need to get another compression garment right cuz karidis provides one?

cheers

Compression vest 24/7 first week, second week just at night you get two vests and they need to be handwashed (they get very sweaty)

Yeah just be light on cardio i dont think youl up for roadrunning/treadmills just see how you handle it. Get some underarmour for the gym they sell it at JJB etc will keep everything tight

Yeah mate have as many shakes as you fancy, just dont smoke or drink a week before the operation (might be two) same goes after the operation as far as i can remember.

Dont train on the day before your operation though because there's a 12 hour nil by mouth rule and youl be dehydrated/starving in the morning otherwise.

Only 2 more weeks this saturday untill i get this shit removed! So blimmin excited!  I cant actually imagine not having it. It feels really weird to know that it will be gone.  Just hoping that karidis manages to get it all out!

Just an update! Had my 24th this weekend so was feeling pretty good.  Just sunk into me tonight that its a week on Saturday untill i get the op :)... Have all paid up the full amount now.

Getting very excited, very anxious and looking forward to starting the recovery process now.

Been keeping up my intense training routine.  Have put on a bit more muscle mass which is nice and dropped a bit of fat.

How long would you guys recomend time off work whilst you have a desk job?
