Hello people

Firstly congratulations to you chestrockwell.  When is the due date?

Things are settling down everyday for me.  Having followed this thread, I can identify with similar anxieties as I go through the post-op healing.

I'm now ten days post op.  There are now no signs of bruising, so it's cleared up pretty fast.  I rolled over when I got into bed last night, but too much pressure on my chest - OUCH!  That really hurt.  So I guess there is still plenty of healing yet!

I'm getting quite attached to the compression vest, gives me a fantastic shape ;)

I have a couple of questions.  about half an inch below the armpit incision, on both sides there is a hardish lump of inflammation.  There is a little pain if the area is pressed.  Do the rest of you 'Levick' guys have or had the same?  If you did, did it go away completely?

The tissue around the bottom and sides of the pectoral area feels firmer (too firm compared to pre-op) and is much softer on and around the top, or front of the pectoral.  How does that compare with you guys?

Also, there is still absolutely no feeling or sensation in the same soft frontal area.  Was this the same for you in the first couple of weeks?  How long before I can expect it to normalise?

I will give a fuller diary update in my 'Surgery with Levick' thread on Friday when I will be two weeks post-op.

Cheers ppl.

hi guys
just thought i give a update on my situation. ive been just trying to get on with life, i know im going to need yet another op to sort my left side out, its still bigger than the other side, and has lots of scar tissue.  its got a heavy build up of scar tissue and massaging isnt helping break it up, due to how solid and hard it is.
July 04 - Gland removal + liposuction- Adriaan Grobbelaar. Results: Terrible
Feb 05 - Lipo Revision- Alex Karidis.
Nov 05 - Gland + Lipo- Alex Karidis.
Jun 06 - LHS gland + Lipo - Alex Karidis.

I too have some lumps near the scars. Surgery was approx 10 days ago. Surgeon was Mr. Levick. The lumps appear to be just above where the bandages were (you can still see the red mark underneath) It was VERY tight in this area a week after the op and perhaps is the cause of the lumps.

Yep, got some of this too. Feels a little sore/puffy when pressed, but it not too painful. With the rest of my chest now looking quite flat this are the only bits (apart from the lumps above) sticking out.

My nipples are still completely numb and the surrounding skin soft n' squigy. Hoping things'll firm up soon

Hello Meshman

What you have described sounds very similar to me.  The photo is very useful as what you have again, looks similar to me.  Those lumps near the incision seem to have gone down slowly over the last few days - though still significant.  I'll start massaging in just under two weeks.

Thanks again.

What are you waiting two weeks? Did Mr Levick advise to wait? Or someone on this list perhaps?

I thought massage was to start at week four :-/ though I am not too sure to be honest.

But it's only now that I think my chest is settled enough to start massage, any sooner and I think it would have been too sensitive.  Have you started massaging already?

Can anyone else throw some light on this one?

ok people dont panic just yet.
i had this exact lump like above below the incision.it has been flattening and im 3 months post op like stonecold.its still not gone but its going.i had it only on the right hand side.
on another note i had my post op appt with levick on monday.just as i thought i has scar tissure more on the right he said maybe due to haematoma.i dought this as my dad would have spotted it as well as me.but either way i knew it was scar as i had no gyno wer it is placed.and it is still decreasing as time goes by -but more slowly.
both sides are still soft and still feel as tho they have inflammation tissue and fluid so i expect things will tighten up-probably what stonecold is thinking is fat as im sure he knows at 14%bf he wouldnt be able to pinch as much fat as there is on his chest.

Geg i think i have to much left in. If its inflamation then id be surpised as its hasnt improved. What did Mr Levick say about your results, did he think you would see improvements and that the scar tissue would flatten out? Have you got any photo updates you could post. How pleased are you with your results currently?

thanks

i had something similar to that lump on my 2nd surgery. karidis popped a needle in it to suck fluid out, but nothing come out.   then he gave me some antiboitics to get rid of the firm lump,  it looked just the same as that in the pic.  the biotics got rid of it

hi stone
im about 60-70% happy right now.its still looks like i got gyno but i know its scar as where it is i never had the gyno gland present.levick said it will reduce and it is getting flatter as more i massage but saying that i only massage the rhs as that has the most scar and i dont touch the rhs but they are both reducing.very little each week the redue but i can defo tell they are reducing.
look at it100 pics he had a lot of scar but at around 1 yr post op it disappeared to v.minor amount tht was unoticable so im giving it time.1 yr is the deadline mate i am giving.until then no point stressing.
i would call levick tho stone as you sound concerned.or even go in to see him again.mate we paid for it,so why not see wat he says again.

ok i still dont have update pics yet as i cant find my digicam but.......
the nipple which was inverted before and i said was getting better is definately getting better.its flattening out for definate and my pec is starting to look better.still not there but its getting there.
i have a scar where my bandges went.as thats fading that will give me a rough time when i know i fully healed.once its fully faded i know i will be more or less healed so i using that as a guide.its easy for me as i have dark skin to know when the skin will match m,y natural skin colour.but im sure if i havent finished healing im sure some the guys i was with cant have finished either.so dont be disheartened yet boys.comin up 4 months post op.still plenty of time.9 months im giving it.

ok been 4 months now just over.nipple still flattening out.still got scar tissue not sure how much its decreased but maybe just only very little.was discussing with family that with my skin obviously im prone to large scars and will probably take a long time for them to go down prob over a year.but if its still the same way i will be calling levick at around 8 months to get the kenalog injections, and get rid of these puffy nips.
