Yeh, I asked the nurse to take those leg things off half way through the night to give me a chance to sleep - it wasn't the feeling of them so much as the noise of the damn compressor thingy!

The binder digs in everyone - I got a fair bit of swelling out of the top of it, but none underneath, so proves it does the job! - then when switching to compression vests I had these big lumps of swelling under armpits that were agrevated more by the vests... solved that by wearing a very tight compression t-shirt underneath the vest that I already owned to flatten out the moobies, and that helped compress and contain the under-arm swelling... so there's a top tip for you! - I wish now I'd have bought the Macom vests with arms in instead of normal vests, but there ya go.

Enjoy breakfast!

Cheers for the advice I'll pick up some really tight compression shirts for underneath then. I saw levick this morning and he took a hell of a lot out, and now I'm on the way home! So pleased to be over and done with now, just got the long road to recovery :)

Congratulations on being on the other side. I do not miss that binder at all, you'll be pleased to see the back of it after the week. Like Donut, i got that pump thing took off at the start of the night. The nurse told me as long as i was up and walking about a bit then it wasn't really needed. Bit late bit of advise there!!

Look forward to seeing some pics.

The nurse told me it had to be on alright, pain in the arse that was! Yeah I'm already sick of this binder.

When mr levick came to see me this morning he took it off and it looked like my nipples were indented but he said nothing to worry about at first so we'll see how it settles. Tried to upload before pics but it won't let me as the file was too big, anyone know how I can downsize them so I can upload them? Cheers guys

You need to open the files in a photo editing program and then look for a "resize" option - I usually resize my pics to 600x450 pixels and save as a jpg file at medium quality.  If you get stuck, send me a private message and you can email big pics to me and I'll resize them for you and send them back.   :)

3 days post op now and recovery seems to be going well, the only issue is this binder is so bloody uncomfortable! Not in any real pain though just trying to take it easy for a little while though

Same here mate. Already counting the days until I can take it off....! The bruising around the top appears to be reducing today but there I'm getting swelling above the binder.

Take my advice and get a tight (pref compression) t-shirt to wear under vest when you switch, as the arm holes of the vest aggravate the underarm / top of binder swelling even more! - something with tight sleeves helped me hugely with what was the only discomfort about the whole thing.

And these are from yesterday!

In no real pain today, swapped to my vest this morning as the binder was so uncomfortable and I feel much better with this on, there's a little bruising but not much and there's no pain if I stretch a little, hopefully I'll sleep better tonight though with this vest on. My only concern is the right wound seems to be healing well but the left side seems to be open, not weeping though and not painful at all, just a bit of a concern

Good work. You've got to be happy with that result! Not a bad burger haul either. Are the results completely as you expected?

I'm going for one more night in this binder even though last night was the worst yet!
