I was itching so much that I had to do something about it.  Took all my bandages off, took another shower and came up with a good idea.

I took a wifebeater vest and put it on.  I took the two foam pads and put it in between my wife beater and chest (kinda like stuffing a bra).  I'm not bleeding anymore so I don't know how much longer I need the pads but did it anyways.  I took new tensor bandages and wrapped it around the outside of the wifebeater.  I'm not itching as much as I was before.  The pads cause a little bit of an itch.  When I go back to work on Monday, I'll remove the pads because I don't think they're necessary.  I will however use the bandages to compress my chest area.   When I see Fielding on Tuesday, I'll have all the original dressing back on.

One thing I forget to talk about is how my secret of getting rid of my gyne is going.  So far so good.  No one suspects a thing.  My girlfriend thinks the bandaging is from a lie I told her and same with my parents and few friends that my girlfriend blabbed to (read previous posts).  When I see Dr. Fielding on Tuesday, she'll ask how it went.  I'll tell her the good doctor had to make an incision in both nipples to drain the blood and fluid from the bogus gym accident.  That will explain the cuts in the nipples.  As for the reshaping of my chest, I'll tell her he drained some fat as well.  That's far fetched but I'm hoping she will buy it.

I was looking at my chest for 20 minutes after I took the bandages off and I can't believe how happy I am.  When I threw the wifebeater on I thought to myself, no pointy nipples or fat.  I'm loving life.

Day 4 post op:

I can't fully extend my arms over my head but I'm feeling great.

There's a squishy sound coming from my right side if I move my arm a certain way.  Not worried because I know this is normal.  The left side which is the most bruised has a bit of a shooting spasm that keeps coming and going.  It doesn't hurt but I can tell something's going on.  I'm not worried because I know this is all part of the healing process.  The left side is definitely more bruised then the right and it's swollen but the good news is, it doesn't have that cup look it did before the op.

Does Fielding use stitches that disolve on their own or do they have to be manually removed by him (or any other doctor for that matter)?

Hey Brownman,

My first visit post op visit is tomorrow and from what I know, he'll take a look at how your chest is healing and he'll change your bandages and if there is a problem (such as draining), try to correct it.  That's why I think he has his post op visits at St. Joseph's and not his office.

As for how many visits I would imagine it would depend on how you're healing.  I think Bambu had the one week post op and was told to see him again in 3 months after that.  I think if you're healing well and you like what you're seeing, you might skip out on the 3 months visit.

3-4 weeks after surgery is when you can take the bandages off.  This is from what I've read so I don't know if every situation is different.

I'm five days post op and the only thing I can't really do is extend my arms over my head but I'm driving, making myself sandwiches and getting things out of the fridge ok.  I know I can't hit the gym for another 2 weeks and I think I'll be keeping it light with the weights for the first week or two.

Day 6 post op:

Right side still looks amazing.  The left side is still swollen.  When I hold it, it feels like it's filled with fluid and I'm hoping Fielding does something about it today.  I really want to see both sides looking good.  There's definitely more spasms (for lack of a better word) coming from the swollen side and it does look more bruised then the right side.

I took the foam pads off (too hot and makes me itch) and I've only kept the tensors on.  I hope Fielding doesn't get too upset with that.

Will post tonight my post op meeting with Fielding.

I saw Fielding yesterday and he was ok with the fact that I removed the pads.  I had the tensor bandage on pretty tight so he said I didn't have to have them so tight.

As for the results.  I was very happy with the right side and he said in a week, the left side will look the same.  He said the blood in my left chest is clotting which is normal and it will loosen up in the next week and it will pass through my system.  He said that I can come back to the hospital on Friday and he will drain the blood if I'm so concerned.  I think I will go back to have him drain it.  He couldn't drain it yesterday because the blood had become like jello and nothing would drain he said.

That really put my mind at ease.  Once my left side looks like my right side, I will be posting pics.  Other then that, this is a real success story.  Guys should be posting the expression on their faces after they see their results.  I'm on top of the world.  Dr. Fielding is a God (you know what I mean).

That blood thing happened to me too; JF didn't have to tell me, I had my bandages off on day 5 and I tried to run across the street. Ouch, I had to hold on to my chest with both hands to keep them from bouncing. I put the bandages back on. I'm fine now.

8 days post op:

I have been very sore for the last 2 days.  I'm finding it to be much harder to take off a t-shirt.  The bruises are healing nicely.  The left breast is still as hard as it was 3 days ago.

I'm seeing Dr. Fielding tomorrow so that he can draw out the blood that's in there.  I hope it's not a wasted trip to the hospital because he said he couldn't extract it on Tuesday because the blood was to thick and to be quite honest, it feels the same way.  I'm still going.

Blitz my man take it easy with the worry.  The swelling is perfectly normal and it will subside on its own.  Don't touch it and don't think about it - just try to divert your attention to other things.
