16 gyno rate 1-10 and give me an estimated surgery price

my gyne has been like this since i was about 12 and hasnt really gone down. infact it has grown along with my body. I used to be overweight, but i started working out and playing waterpolo and the rest of my body is well conditioned, yet the gynecomastia stayed. the doctor says that i will need surgery to remove it, please tell me how bad it is and how much you think surgery will cost.

Looks like a pretty serious gland issue. You are only 16 though. You may outgrow it.

I would check closely with your doctor, because in some cases, it subsides with age, or at least get a second opinion, and then if your doctor says that it will never pass, then get surgery done as soon as possible!

Have you seen any doctor other than your family doctor, I would suggest an endocernologist, (spelling ??)!

same EXACT case I had at that age... im now 19 and still have that same case.. get rid of it as quick as you can my friend - you will only regret not doing so in the long run

I disagree because he is still developing..
Removing the tissue may mean when he gets abit older his nipples might cave in on themselves making them point inwards.

I'm 17 and I have a minor case similar to yours. I want to get surgery because in most cases the puffiness does not go away on its own. I've had them for a while now.

Get all the facts don't rush, the fact is if your gyn is not puberty related, you will have plenty of time to correct it, CRATERS you will live with all your life.  I am NOT in favor of living with Gynecomastia if you can afford surgery, and it is a case that will not pass!  Don't let emotions make your choice.

ABCDEF is right on the fact that, in many many more cases of teen and adolesences  Gynecomastia goes away after puberty ends, surgery before puberty ends can result in craters at the nipples!

i have met with a doctor, he told me that there is a very low chance that it will go down over time and that surgery may be the only option. I met with a different doctor who told me that surgery was the only option as well. should i wait to get surgery or just get it now?

I was in your predicament at the age of 17-18, I had my gyne since the age of about 12-13 and it was puberty related (high testosterone and estrogen levels). I still waited until I had essentially stopped developing and got the surgery done at 21. I'm not saying to wait that long yourself, it would just be best that you wait for a little longer (maybe get some bloods taken) so if you do get surgery, you wont just be wasting your money, and possibly make things worse.

In terms of costs, each surgeon will charge their own fees, find someone with the experience and accreditation you seek and don't just go for the cheapest price.

Just for the record, my case was pretty much exactly the same as yours, although there was more tissue underneath but nipples just as puffy (I will post before picture up in a few weeks), check out my results:
